Welcome back! I just read your post on the Inkwell channel and decided to come out from behind the curtain and comment as myself.

That is quite a journey. I personally have had contempt for AI-generated material, though recently I see AI has utility in certain areas. It's easier to get information from AI, although I always check the info with independent sources once AI has regurgitated what it synthesized from other places. It's especially useful for looking up medical information. However, when it comes to creativity...I don't get it. The essence of creativity is the human element. As you say in your post, "What keeps someone engaged in reading or watching a video is still human emotion."

Hive is in a bit of a doldrums right now. Have patience. You are interesting and have something to say. I'm looking forward to reading more of that.

I'm going to post our standard Inkwell welcome. You seem to follow rules quite easily, so I'm sure you will heed the recommendations in the welcome.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story—and even more for leaving such a thoughtful comment. It really means a lot to me, especially as someone who's just finding my way back to writing. I completely understand your perspective on AI. After spending almost two years exploring AI tools, I came to a similar conclusion. AI can be incredibly useful as a tool, but it can't replace the human experiences, emotions, and vulnerability that make a story resonate. Ironically, that realization is exactly what led me back to writing. Thank you as well for the encouragement about Hive. I know things may be quieter than they once were, but I'm not here chasing trends anymore. This time, my goal is simply to write consistently, improve with every story, and hopefully connect with readers along the way. I truly appreciate the warm welcome from both you and The Ink Well. I'm looking forward to learning from the community and sharing more stories in the future.
