It's been a month since I checked my Yahoo! email account and found out the company is downgrading the storage again for free users. Sad but people should get rid of AI instead of storage for electronic mails! Ugh.
Anyway because of their notice I felt like I had to delete all the worthless emails I've gotten since I created an account. So the first ones to go are what my old self was into: psychic/New Age and occult self-help stuff.

Kinda strong language used here which might offend some people.
Why Did I Write This?
So many people are still being duped daily by all the occult/New Age shenanigans out there. It's ridiculous how many people are signing up to such things online. I admit, I've been one of them.
How did that happen? Because I never really knew God for most of my life despite being a cradle but nominal Catholic. I'm not from a religious family. We rarely prayed nor talked about the Lord or anything holy.
God is merciful and helped me really get to know Him in the past few years, all thanks to Mama Mary too. Without the grace of the Most Holy Trinity I would not have been set free from the slavery to my accumulated mortal sins. Thank You Lord! (God is so awesome!!!)
And so... This serves as a warning for everyone who's still not aware of mortal sins against the 1st Commandment of God, etc. I have been saying since 3 years ago that ignorance of Catholicism is not bliss. So I am again sharing one of the things I have renounced that most people should too!
In the Beginning...
Back in the early 2000s the emails in my inbox were mostly from people I know personally. We used it to send pictures we had from various events in our lives, for sharing jokes, school assignment stuff and then eventually informative stuff and then... Well even the chain emails came around. 😂
Ah yes, the chain emails... It was harmless at first for we love to share stuff to people we know and care about, right? Here's something from an email back in 2002. The subject is What If... and the message is abt life in general.
Dunno if the email layout was always like that where some words in a sentence are not in a straight line at all or it's because of the change in technology over the years. 🤔
And I was pleasantly surprised to find this next forwarded email while checking on my emails. Here I thought Pope Francis was the one who thought of this first. I haven't really checked who the source is online but it's really a great reminder.
The Scam and Spam Email Era Arrives
Anyway as time progressed I would also get those very well known Nigerian scam emails and various kinds of spam too! Oh my goodness. 😅 The seemingly innocent yet evil emails have arrived!
And of course I received a different kind of chain electronic mail eventually and it would say things like "send this to 9 other people otherwise you will receive bad luck." Like wth, right? 😂
Or here's something which seems quite good that so many people still get duped to share to this day. You ask me, "What do you mean?" Well, look at this.:
See?!? Do not be fooled by such tampering. Nothing about it makes it a novena!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? That's not how we pray at all, that's never how Catholics pray ever! What a prayer scam!!!
Only the lukewarm or clueless Christians would fall for such chain "prayers"! And boy there's a lot all over the world - I was one of them too for so many years!!! Again, IGNORANCE OF CATHOLICISM IS NOT BLISS!

And FYI, the real Catholic version of the prayer goes like this:
That's it! See how there's no other whatever going on? Simple and powerful. It's not a novena at all! Should anyone want to share the prayer then just copy-paste it. Easy.
There's no need to curse anyone by even making them do all sorts of things or changing the words just to spread it around. Don't be like the unaware Christians who keep falling for such "trickery" or chain prayer scams!
👉 What Should We Do Then?
Pray for the conversion of people who make such online content. And if you know the person who sent such an email or social media message to you then after praying you can inform them that 👉 it is not the proper way to spread nor practice the faith.
Even if you ask any priest they will say the same thing. Chain prayers aren't taught anywhere in the Catholic Church! It is not a Christian practice at all.
Chain prayers are more of an:
- (1) occult
- (2) pagan and
- (3) superstitious thing to do.

Repent and renounce these pagan beliefs and go to confession! Catholics, pls do not take communion on the upcoming Sunday mass if you still have not confessed these sins! Why? More Tainted Christian Chain Emails...
Upon checking the other emails, every religious one back then were about chain prayers. Goodness gracious. 😅 Always guilt-tripping you to forward the email because "your wish won't come true" or "you'll have bad luck" and all that crap. 🙄 How evil.
Whoever made these emails clearly doesn't know what they're talking about. You think it's all good and harmless but it spreads the wrong message that are never taught by the Catholic Church!
👉 Another Example:
Look what they did. Of course I put all the X's, etc.
👉‼️ Why is That a False Teaching?
Can you tell me why?
Do you have a clue?
No?
Are you sure?
Why?
Well here's several reasons why: ❌ Just getting an image of Mama Mary will not take your troubles away immediately. ✅ You have to pray and ask her intercession so God can take action!
❌ Just sending an email with the Blessed Virgin Mary's image to a number of people will not make anyone's troubles go away automatically. ✅ You have to pray and ask her intercession so God can take action!
❌ Just seeing an image of the the Mother of God will not make anyone's troubles disappear. ✅ You have to pray and ask her intercession so God can take action!
Now do you get it?
👉‼️ Even if you don't do or experience all three above but you pray and ask her intercession that's way better than passing on this kind of image with such superstitious text! God will be able to take action even without your seeing an image of Jesus Christ's mom as long as you say a prayer!
Most Catholics who receive such an email with this kind of chain image/message will not pray anything at all but simply just forward the email, hope it works (well it never does!) and forget about it!
If I did such back then, for sure other people have done it too! Now do you see why this kind of thing instills the wrong Christian attitude?
If a nominal Christian just sees her image and the person is deep in sin, they will not do anything at all. The most they would do is just forward the electronic mail and that's it! Thus the supposed good intention of even making her known or serve as a reminder to trust in God has a negative effect instead! Claiming that only spreading Mama Mary's image around would solve our problems is misleading, incorrect and superstitious!
The creators of such messages are using the Mother of God for spam chain emails!!! Egads, they might not know it is wrong to make such things up but now you do!!!
Again, only nominal Catholics, clueless Christians and maybe even agnostics would do such a thing. And there's so many all over the world! Yes, I was one of them too. But thanks to God and Mama Mary I have already been freed from my most evil ways that blinded me for so long!
👉 What Should We Do With Something Like This Particular Example?
Easiest thing to do is to read the book True Devotion to Mary by St. Louis-Marie de Montfort to know if you're really dong the right way of venerating Mary or not! Or find a free e-book of it if you don't wanna spend money.
Otherwise, start a daily prayer life and study St. Ignatius of Loyola's 14 Rules of Discernment.
Don't forget to at least read Bible passages everyday!
Much better if we also go to daily mass or visit Jesus in the adoration chapel often for a Holy Hour and avail of the Sacrament of Confession frequently.

👉 What Else Should We Do?
REMEMBER: We can share our faith thru email and other channels but WE DON'T NEED TO REQUIRE ANYONE to do pagan, occult or superstitious stuff like:
- wishing (to the stars, universe, or anything that's not the Holy Trinity. Christians must not do wishes nor 'manifesting'. We pray and ask God instead!)
- cursing and intimidating ("do not break the chain or else" or "send it to x number of people to get something"),
- etc.
‼️ Stop the syncretism for it is a gateway of demons to enter your life and even your family!

Well yeah, it's not as blatant as you might be expecting but anything that's not of the Lord is evil imho. What, you think cursing others isn't bad? Being superstitious is not good at all, come on.
‼️ Sin starts small too until it accumulates and you are numb to it then finally blind and deaf to almost anything about God! If you think these emails are not evil then clearly you need to do everything I mentioned above.
