Layers and layers of leaves, sticks, roots, dead grasses, and ferns, and among them mushrooms pop like nothing happened.
Some parts of the forest are so messy I just want to pass it without ripping pants and scratching my face (some acacias have extremely big and sharp thorns!). And a lot of the time, even when I see a cool mushroom, I do not get closer. Sometimes it is just impossible, so I just admire them from afar and keep on moving.
Some of them grow closer to the slowly disappearing paths waiting to be spotted.
Snuggling to the old stem for the protection and extra food, I guess :)
I often saw this type growing in very large groups close to the old trees.

And lastly, a large group of Big Hats pushing through brown, rotten leaves.

It probably looks like it was a dark and gloomy day, but it only looks like that in the forest. The thick branches didn't allow much sun to reach the bottom of the woods.
But just a little higher, where the leaves were still hanging in all kinds of colors, it was nice and sunny :)
