Lisbon looks amazing from higher points, from which you can see a tight maze of buildings. The city is built on hills, so there are plenty of spots where you can get views like this. The old part has small houses that are so tight next to each other that you can hardly see the streets.
Some only allow narrow tuk-tuks or bikes. Cars will simply not fit there. This has its advantages; you can almost feel like you are transported to another era.
I have been walking along the narrow streets up and down and admiring the views. When you can see such big areas, you start to notice the contracts. Many old houses in very poor condition are slowly falling apart next to brand new or very well renovated ones.
You'd think that a city center is well maintained, but there are plenty of abandoned places that are left waiting for better days.

Contrasts.
Following one of the narrow roads to the lower parts of the city, I found these two furry fellas :)
They don't care about big buildings, tourists, flowers or churches.
They just chill waiting for the next meal their human slaves will serve them.
One was snoozing on a parked on the side of the road motorbike. He didn't even look at me when I was trying to take a few photos of him. The black one right next to it was watching him. I think he is jealous of the spot :p
