Life On STEEM—2036

Life is good.

I wouldn't say everything is perfect, but since STEEM became the global digit currency it was originally created to be, things have improved dramatically.

I can't say those of us who built up stake on STEEM before the masses came are all filthy rich, but those who did are a sight better off than those who came in later. And because we also established a healthy community, we were able to better facilitate the rapid growth.

It wasn't an easy thing by any means, but it's been worth it. The pain, the suffering. All it took was for about ten percent of us users to say enough was enough. All of the millennia old in the box way of thinking everyone brought with them—scarcity, control, might makes right—all of that had to be overcome.

But we did it.

To see the STEEM logo everywhere still gives me chills. The fact that everything I do is up on the blockchain, and that it can be used for anything, is nothing short of a miracle. A literal dream come true. And I've been on cloud nine ever since.

End Of Five Minutes

The convenience in and of itself is remarkable. I think of all the children who will be born into this world who will never need to think about cash, or credit or even cards or pay points. All they need is a STEEM account and a way to access it.

That's all that's required. And because of the price of STEEM vs. fiat, everything is cheap and affordable.

It's not been so long ago, only eight years since the horrific events that threatened to end life on earth as we know it, but now that is all behind us, and we can move forward, peacefully, and prosperously.

And I finally feel like I can indulge a little bit.

I wanted a medium-sized twist ice cream cone. When I ordered it in the drive thru, they asked me for my username, and after I gave it, I received on my smartphone a notification that my account was being charged 0.005 STEEM. It only took a moment to accept it, and by the time I got to the window, my cone was ready and I was on my way.

I'd been waiting to buy a new car. About three weeks ago, I started looking around online. I found one and someone from the local dealer sent brought the car to my home for a test drive. I had an immediate gut reaction the moment I got in. I wanted this car.

Once they had my username, a request for 342.858 STEEM came to my phone. I approved it with a simple tap of the screen. The entry/starter remote was put in my hand and I am now the owner of a completely paid for Audi RS 10.

From test drive to ownership took less than 30 minutes.

My wife and I just got back from a trip to Maui for our 47th wedding anniversary. We stayed for two weeks in a wonderful beachside home. Flight, food, transportation, and entertainment came to 10.2 STEEM.

Two hours ago I went grocery shopping. I did it online, and a large delivery drone just set down in my driveway. I checked to make sure all was there, and sent the drone on its way. Grocery bill including the delivery: 0.743 STEEM.

Life is great. I'm really glad we made it.

Howdy sir Glen! hey I thought you weren't bullish on steemit and steem? I kinda like this vision though!

In reading this I said, why not, maybe one day this will come to pass, but until then we all need to just continue to enjoy each other's company and share what we feel others may like. Dreams are ideas put into Motion.

It looks like a great fiction. People don't heard about Steem or blockchain at all. Today one of my ex colleague called me and steem come in our gossip randomly. I tried almost ten minutes to explain what it is and her reaction was so empty! I wish the world would be like this one day. And I could use my account as a safe insurance. 😊😃
