I can understand the situation, and I feel that a strong mind knows how to move on even without a replacement. I have a friend who was in a relationship for 9 years. He had his pride and self-respect. He ended the relationship because his lover's family looked down on him and his family, and his lover kept quiet. So, he ended the relationship just because of his self-respect, and it ended forever. If anyone has self-respect, he should not bother their ex-lover at least. I am dedicating the previous line to your friend.

And to be honest, I think that is the quickest way to move on from someone, by meeting someone else, but is that really the right thing to do?

In that case, I want to ask you if a person stays in such a state to love others? Or do they truly deserve the love of others?
