FB Buys A Company That Lets You Control Your Phone With Your Mind

Or something like that. At least that's the goal. Facebook is ramping up their AI and virtual reality division and just bought Ctrl-Labs for a billion dollars!

It's a company that has a mind-reading wristband whereby you can think about doing something with your hands and the signals from your brain are converted to digital actions.

Crtl-Labs are neural scientists who've made alot of progress in the field. Great news for people who are paralyzed or have missing limbs, the technology is advancing nicely.

1 Billion dollars is a major investment and Facebook has some major goals.

Look Ma, no hands!

They say the wristbands will be "instrumental in developing new ways of interacting with machines without needing traditional mouse-and-keyboard setups, touchscreens, or any form of physical controller whatsoever."

Holy Smokes! What year is it? This sounds like futuristic stuff but they're saying this mind control of computers or put another way..mind and computer interface is coming soon!

AND without implants or chips in the brain. Ctrl-Labs says their wristbands are much more effective than using implants and chips.

Here's the CEO of Crtl-Labs, Thomas Reardon, with their current model:

They say you have to concentrate real hard to get the "hands" on the screen to do what you want but it definitely works. But with Facebook's AI and Virtual Reality divisions teaming up with Crtl-Labs I think startling progress will be made.

Here's a closer view of a prototype wrist band:

They say eventually the wristband will look like a watch. The world is changing fast! It that exciting or scary?

If you can learn to control your computer with your mind, will you be able to control someone else's computer? Or they yours? We're going to have to have mind control blocking security for all our devices!

Thanks for reading folks, God bless you all! -jonboy Texas

PS- I hope ya'll aren't getting tired of wire sculptures, I found a few more that got my attention.

Creepy for a number of reasons, @janton! Hubby & I had a long conversation with the youngest last night, and this was one of the topics we touched on. On more than one occasion, I've mentioned something in passing whilst holding my phone - next thing I know, I'm seeing ads for it on FB. Mind control is next level blergh! 😂

Love those wire sculptures -I lol'ed at the crypt investor, and have been a long time fan of Fantasywire/Robin Wight. Excellent choices!

  • @hangin(73)· 2525d

The controlling of FB will be our destruction time the Vin goes out and does something about it 😜 🤣 😎

  • @angiemitchell(74)· 2525d

Well janton, one had better have control over thinking if it is going to be sent to another! Just imagine the communication that may go on otherwise, lol.

Just remember that Facebook's ultimate goal is complete dominance. People will get the chips imbedded in them and then Facebook will be able to make them think advertisements. You know how it is, you're walking down the road and all of the sudden you get a song stuck in your head? Well, now you'll be walking down the road and thinking, "I really need a Coke product."

The realm of mind-computer interfacing is pretty fascinating, though. I wonder if it will ever get to the point where you don't really need a screen or interface. We have been able to project an image into a human brain for over a decade already, although that first one was pretty rudimentary. There was a guy who lost his sight and volunteered for an experiment. They grafted wires into his eye somehow (optical nerve, probably) and used a camera to stimulate the attached nerves. He said it was like looking at an 8x8 pixel image, but he could see.

  • @thebigsweed(73)· 2526d

That whole idea is a little frightening. What will be the next step.

  • @redheadpei(72)· 2526d

Mornin’ Cowboy! Technology is moving ahead in leaps and bounds the last few years. I like the mind control feature. Maybe eventually we can just think something and it will happen.

We will, of course, change physically - we don’t have to use our physical body to move around and do things. We will then have big heads and small bodies.

  • @quotes-haven(69)· 2526d

Think and you are there - literally. 😊

  • @melinda010100(80)· 2526d

On a smaller scale it must give hope to so many handicapped people. I've seen people in nursing homes who were unable to push the controls to adjust their own beds and they can't operate the remotes to change channels on the TV. Love the sculptures!

  • @squirrelbait(58)· 2526d

Awesome post. Yup, stepping stones and a big one. First outside, then inside. We are the borg. You will be assimilated. NOOOOOO!!!!!. LOL!!!

Well I can certainly think about some minds that I would love to hack. Most of life's problems can be solved by placing the right decisions into the powers that be's computers. Orders such as ban plastic, ban trading in animal, ban hunger, share all resources and, and, and,.... Blessings!

  • @zirochka(79)· 2527d

It make me recall a comment made by Danish computer scientist Bjarne Stroustrup:

"I have always wished for my computer to be as easy to use as my telephone; my wish has come true because I can no longer figure out how to use my telephone."

  • @bearbear613(74)· 2527d

And of all the things I lost, it is my mind the most.

  • @krazzytrukker(70)· 2527d

Have You not been paying Attention....? Fecesbook & Thee Ghoulag Googlers buy up eveything. It is called MONOPOLIZATION.

They destroy the competition, only using what they can benefit from, destroying the rest...... Anti Trust is coming for them. Thier Control Freak / Censorship / Misinformation Game days are numbered.

Do You still traffic them.....? They LOVE Lemmings & White Mice.
