We need to change Hive's twitter approach

I think the way I consume Hive content is unorthodox and it may come as a surprise to users coming from western hemisphere, that reddit-like structure isn't suited for everyone.

I know I have been shaped by polish iteration of digg called wykop, but it's the most convenient way for me to stay up to date with people and topics I am interested in.

The way I consume

To keep things simple, I use tags and have bookmarks in every browser (like hive.blog/created/polish). This helps me stay up to date with every post that has #polish tag. I really wish interfaces and apps would introduce tags subscription.

Twitter introduced topics

These tooics work like tags, not like Hive's communities (or reddit rooms) and aggregate tweets with certain keywords. Yes keywords, not tags. Musk once told he doesn't like tags because nobody uses them and recently I noticed that on my 'For you' tab there's not a single post with tags in it.

I run the twitter account of Polish Hive community and the recent changes made me think we need to reconsider how we are sharing Hive things on X. As for now, due to set of rules introduced by @acidyo, a majority of Hive posts look like the following

IMHO this means we need to stop using tags because they might damage the tweet's reach as organic and promoted content is not using tags at all.

Before the Twitter became the X, we had the ability to check the account analytics. Analysing the results made me think that the best results for reaching audience was to 'jump into a train' of the current topic and troll. The mere sharing Hive posts was and still is, useless. Jumping in the current of events is controversial though. Because some people might associate your troll message with Hive's one - and I have already got some criticism over that.

We need to figure out the way to promote Hive on other platforms or how to reinforce the message of our Twitter 'celebrities'.

Let's have a debate on it. If you have any idea how to share Hive on current X please share

I find that using any tag only get interest from these communities. If I use #Splinterlands for example, people that know about or play Splinterlands will like my post or retweet it. The decrease in activity could be due to less hive people using twitter or actively looking for posts to retweet

In my view a good way to promote Hive on X is to put good Hive posts/content onto X. Like a crosspost. People will see it and jump into the Hive link. That drives traffic into our ecosystem.
