Turndown

Turndown service is designed to enhance the guest experience by providing a comfortable and welcoming space for rest. While turndown service is a common feature in luxury hotels, the level of service can vary.

.The staff prepares a guest's room for sleep, turning down the bed linens, leaving a small amenity like a chocolate on the pillow, and tidying up. I've had turndown before where bedside lamps were turned on so that you didn't come back to a dark room, fresh towels were placed in the batroom as needed, and a mint or chocolate on the pillow, but this turndown provided a delightful surprise each evening!

Not all hotels offer turndown service, but at La Casa Qua Canta in Zihuatanejo, Mexico, turndown service was artistic and picture worthy!

And look! Even shadows from the flowers upon the bed linens!

This hotel definitely hires creative hospitality staff who deserve a generous tip!

That is really cool! I've stayed in places like the Ritz where they do the turndown service, but nothing ever remotely as cool as that!

I am pleasantly impressed with this and I have never seen it before. I don't think that's done to an exact pattern, because what it conveys is a passionate person who every day wants to give away a little piece of their soul for someone and make them happy every time they come back (maybe I'm overdoing it with what I'm feeling 😅 but that's what it conveys to me)... I'm glad you're the kind of person who values this dear Melinda, because boy is it special 🙏

Hello! These hotels, so simple and with small details in their decor, sometimes have a very pleasant magic. I like the sunlight shining in the room. It gives it a great energetic touch!
