I heard so many times things like... "I didn't hear about that possibility", or "I didn't know how it works", or "It's hard to find information about it", etc. But, on the other side, the same people are doing "their thing" without interacting with others, without searching for information... It's like that old joke when a guy is praying to God to make him win a lottery and God replies: "To win, you have to buy the ticket!"
In the same way, we have plenty of good sources of information, but people are not using them! One of them is definitely the #HHHLive show as it gathers information from multiple people, compares different views, raises awareness, and creates opinions! When you have more participants the value of the content multiplies!! Last Wednesday we had one of those shows... Use these places! Come by and ask questions! These people are GOLD MINE and you are missing out on absorbing their experience!

As I had unexpected offline stuff to deal with, I didn't create an announcement post for this show, as I didn't know if I would be able to run it. In the end, I did a short notice in the Ecency Discord, but the show start had to be moved 1 hour later than usual... Despite all that, we had 10 people in the show (including myself) and we passed through so many different topics that participants brought to the table!
On the day of the show, the markets began to crash, Bitcoin went down, and HIVE was already on the move down for a few days after the most recent pump (not the one that we had today!)... So, the obvious topic starter was a bloodbath on the markets, without the knowledge that it got much worse in the next few hours after the show... From that, @jza moved the topic to meme tokens and crypto sponsorships around the globe...
From that point, we moved into the show discussion about crypto cards... @jza had some news to share about the debit (prepaid and virtual) card that doesn't require KYC called XKode... After the show, I have researched it a bit and it doesn't look bad, but it does have higher fees and it's available only for PREMIUM members (additional membership fee)... All in all, having a crypto card without the KYC is a great idea and I hope we will have more of those in the future...
From the KYC, we moved to banks and the IRS... Not fun at all... 😃 But, it was fun as we shared some funny stories about our personal experiences with the "tax authorities", I had a couple, @buttcoins had some in Latin America, and @jza shared some funny ones too!
As both of them (jza and buttcoins) are in Latin America, they have some "ground" information about the way how folks from there "understand" crypto... It looks like Latin America is much more open to changes, as you can spend crypto in more places than in Europe or the US... Also, more people are talking about it, there are more opportunities for meetups, and people in general are adapting faster to these new technologies... Maybe because it's a necessity to survive, the "adapt or die" scenario, but all in all, it could be very beneficial to them in the future...
That was an ideal topic to flow back into HIVE and how people perceive it... Unfortunately, many see it as an investment opportunity (while it can be), but it can be seen as an opportunity creator as it can give so much more... Especially with all the tools that are available in the Hive ecosystem...
While we were on that, @travoved jumped on the microphone sharing an interesting post where the author was talking about selling its house for BTC or HIVE! That's what I call a great use case for HIVE! Accepting payments in HIVE or working for HIVE creates the needed circular economy in our ecosystem!
Luckily, we do have people working for crypto! Yes, crypto has that image of being a "speculative asset", but it is much more than that...
Just when we thought that we were on the firm ground, @buttcoins kicked us back to the previous HIVE pump... 😃 There was an idea out there that the pump was a "spearfishing" method where a big whale is trying to accumulate more tokens, and that it could be a different playout from the ordinary "Korean scenario"... When we were running the show, the HIVE price went down even more than it was before the pump, but the truth is that the BTC went down too... So, it was a cascading effect...
Was it spearfishing or not, I don't know... We had both opinions in favor and against it... But, it was a good discussion about how pump-and-dump schemes work, how they are executed, who profits the most, what are the risks, etc.
Somewhere around that time, @achim03 joined the chat too... Expressing his views about the FOMO that happens when the price starts to climb... Are we in "control" of our feelings during that time? Or we just jump the train and provide the "exit liquidity" to whales that are running the pump-and-dump scheme?
Speaking of whales, we were not talking about HivePower whales, but rather about those with a lot of liquid HIVE on their accounts... The majority of liquid HIVE is in the hands of Korean exchanges, which you can check out at HiveBuzz rankings page... Don't forget to sort it out by (liquid) HIVE column!
At the end of the show, we had to mention Hive games, like Splinterlands, Holozing, and Demonicore... Their influence on HIVE in the past, but also in the future...
As you can see, we had a show full of different topics with a LOT of information to grasp! In every show, I learn something new and I bet that participants learn a lot too!
