This is us: the cabin - another emotional moment!

This is Us always manages to surprise and above all to excite. It's one of those TV series that never seems to have anything to say anymore but that manages to surprise every episode. The Cabin is the most beautiful episode of the fourth season and as always manages not only to excite us but even to move us. As always it manages to play with our feelings but above all with our expectations. We were expecting one thing and another happened, we were expecting quarrels and we witnessed some small discussions that culminated with hugs and handshakes. But what hit us in the stomach was to see the Big 3 gathered around a table listening to their father Jack's voice. A return to the past as unexpected for them as it was for us but beautifully constructed. The 3 return to the family cabin to take a break from their routine, a daily life that sees them in full crisis. Randall struggling with his panic attacks. Kate with an almost broken marriage. Kevin with his existential dilemmas. The time box, however, manages to unite them, to move them and bind them from that incredible love towards their deceased father. A tear-jerking and emotionally devastating moment that not only excites us but also gives us a wonderful ending to the construction of recent episodes, all functional to the arrival at this moment.

This is Us riesce sempre a sorprendere e soprattutto ad emozionare. E' una di quelle serie tv che sembra non avere mai più nulla da dire ma che riesce a stupire ad ogni episodio. The Cabin è l'episodio più bello della quarta stagione e come sempre riesce non solo ad emozionarci ma addirittura a commuoverci. Come sempre riesce a giocare con i nostri sentimenti ma soprattutto con le nostre aspettative. Ci attendevamo una cosa e ne è accaduta un'altra, ci attendevamo litigi e abbiamo assistito a delle piccole discussioni che sono culminate poi con abbracci e strette di mano. Quello che però ci ha colpito in pieno stomaco e vedere i Big 3 riuniti intorno ad un tavolo ad ascoltare la voce di loro padre Jack. Un ritorno al passato inatteso per loro quanto per noi ma costruito stupendamente. I 3 ritornano alla baita di famiglia per prendersi una pausa dalla loro routine, una vita quotidiana che li vede in piena crisi. Randall alle prese con i suoi attacchi di panico. Kate con un matrimonio quasi a pezzi. Kevin con i suoi dilemmi esistenziali. La scatola del tempo però riesce ad unirli, a commuoverli e legarli da quell'amore incredibile verso il defunto padre. Un momento strappalacrime ed emotivamente devastante che oltre ad emozionarci ci restituisce un finale meraviglioso rispetto alla costruzione dei recenti episodi, tutti funzionali all'approdo a questo momento.
