So, the teardrops token is slated for SMTs as it will apply a model called 'proof of tears'. This is slight shift away from 'proof of brain', towards 'mining the human'.
We are touching a niche untouched, a niche untouched by the world itself. Some of the concepts that constitute the teardrops ecosystem e.g #untalented, #ulog, #teardrops, #legit-illiteracy, #macrohard etc are the simplest of concepts yet so far, untouched by the world. These routes are utmostly difficult routes to take but we prefer this route, the more testimonial harder route and this route we are taking because the world needs 'balance'.
For blockchain tech itself to attain the ranks of 'great' and not fade like techs before it, we must 'remove all barriers to entry'. From everything good, we must remove all barriers to entry.
While the geeks take the route of complex outer-space, there must be another taking the simplest circumvented 'down-to-earth' route. This is essential for 'balance' sake.
While we can replay all 'existing innovation' all over again on blockchain technology in a bid to distribute rewards, another must take the route of creating 'innovations ordinary yet fresh', to reveal to the world that, "perhaps, not a soul was capable of being poor all along". Another must play blockchain technology out as a 'mentality adjuster'; as a tool to 'mine the human into its awesomest version', so that blockchain itself can begin to finds its own shine, tapping into ranks 'great'. This must occur in order to break the bonds of 'imbalance' that the world hasn't cured.
Well, all that has been hurriedly said aside, there will be tons of ways to earn the teardrops token prior to the inception of the SMT protocol.
Yes, in the short term, there will be ways to earn the token but only sparingly as we want to keep the early part of distribution inclined towards our growing grey-list of 'certified' members (at first). These ones will play a core role across all aspects of the teardrops ecosystem.
In the future, the teardrops token will also form a token of influence on each of these three steem-based websites; https://steemgigs.org, ulogs.org and @macrohard etc
Besides, staking the teardrops token for influence, these tokens will have many other uses. We will incessantly and dynamically innovate ways for this to be the case. This will be discussed in details when the teardrops SMT colorlesspaper is published.
In the coming days, i will be looking to publish a 'paper', for ulogs.org, steemgigs.org & @macrohard, explaining each project. Then, i will go on to publishing a mini 'colorless paper' for the teardrops SMT, covering 'the now'.
The teardrops token is also currently on steem-engine but only a small portion of it was issued and on the steem-engine market to help us gain insight into the 'dynamics of the tokens on an exchange'.

The mention of a team will come a bit later, after the framework and models for the ecosystem is made evident and is fully understood. This means that, however rough the going is bound to be, we will have had to have built ulogs.org and steemgigs.org at least, to a certain 'stable level'.
In general, the overall core of our team will be made up of our grey-list of certified uloggers. This ones will have their influence and limelight, span across any of our evolving innovation.
