Reach for Me

Reach for Me

I'm Here, I'm Here, But you can't hear my scream. As my voice is drowned, In an endless dream.

Reach for me, don't preach to me, Teach to me, don't leech from me, Raise me, don't beat on me, Praise me, don't feed on me. Reach for me.

I'm Lost, I'm Lost, There is no one at Home, Nothing to hold tightly, To stay above the foam.

Reach for me, don't feel for me, Heal for me, don't steal from me, Raise me, don't beat on me, Praise me, don't feed on me. Reach for me.

I'm Gone, I'm Gone, The floods have seen the last, The shores now lay silent, Waves of memories past.

Reach for me, don't cry for me, Lie with me, don't buy for me, Raise me, don't beat on me, Praise me, don't feed on me. Reach for me.

Reach for me.

:P the 'dont preach to me' really reminded me of my dad, who is a minister. 🙂😁👍

Reach for me, don't feel for me, Heal for me, don't steal from me, Raise me, don't beat on me, Praise me, don't feed on me. Reach for me.

Dear my bro @tarazkp ! I felt like you had invested heavily in Hive but weren't getting the returns you wanted! So, Are you hurt and have anxiety and fear about the future?

Does your family know the sadness, anxiety, and fear you are currently feeling?😯

I wonder why @tarazkp, who lives on the other side of the world from where I live, tells me about his anxiety, sadness, and fear! Do you want me to comfort you with words of hope and happiness?😃

You are definitely a great poet!😄

Never stop flying despite the tears and the absence. Never stop holding her through the clouds and the road. Shout that you love her, hug her and ask for her company. If she doesn't want it, let her fly, who knows if on that flight she'll come back much stronger. to hug you.

I think teaching rather than preaching highlights the importance of empathy in our connections with others :)

Your loneliness and cries for help are heard from here, my friend :) But you don't want this from everyone. From thoughtful, helpful, conscientious people.

I read this through the voice of a kid that is heartbroken and battered, a kid truly longing for love, understanding, and connection. This is a cry from the deepest part of his soul, asking for something so simple yet profound.

I wish I could tell him that he's not alone even if it feels like he's drowning.

You really inspire me with your contents @tarazkp, sometimes they make me laugh, other times, just helps me reflect.

And now, here you go again with yet another beautiful piece, it sure sounded like an organized rhyming rap that's accompanied by a really cool chorus, to me. I actually started humming the rhyming lyrics in my mind as I read through this unique poem. I especially appreciate this lines:

"Reach for me, don't preach to me, Teach to me, don't leech from me, Raise me, don't beat on me, Praise me, don't feed on me. Reach for me."

I sense a longing to be heard, understood, and loved. It kinda sounds sad and depressing. like tears droppings to actually form the ink used in writing the words of this poem.

This is really relatable and unique. Thanks for being here.😊

Was the photo from an art exhibit or are you training smallsteps to be a creepy horror movie character?

This is a really moving piece. I like how the words “Reach for me, don’t preach to me, teach to me…” repeat through the verses.

It feels like a deep call for understanding and connection, something many people can relate to when they feel unheard or alone.

The shift from “I’m here” to “I’m lost” and finally “I’m gone” makes the poem even more powerful, showing how silence and distance can slowly grow.

Thanks for sharing this heartfelt writing.

As i read this poem, i actually feel your pain and longing deeply. We sometimes want to be loved and desire that so circumstances and all may prevent that from happening. I can sense how much you want to be reached, not with empty words, but with real love and support. The repetition of the words “Reach for me” feels like a cry straight from your heart, and it moved me. It makes me wish I could stretch out my hand to let you know you’re not alone.
