Seems like the new year just began two minutes ago, but now the second month of the year is already fast approaching! Which means its almost time again to celebrate the first of the month by powering up Hive to your account. Not only does that make your vote more valuable, it adds to your curation rewards and you even earn a bit of interest on your stake - talk about a win/win!

And speaking of win, for those smaller Hive accounts, there's the possibility of winning prizes, including delegations. So be sure to participate in the next Hive Power Up Day, which will be here in less than a week - in fact, the @hivebuzz countdown timer is now ticking down the days to February 1st. Keep an eye on it over on the HiveBuzz site so you don't miss your chance to also earn a badge while you power up and build your Hive account.

Like I did back in July 2021, I've again changed things up a bit with these Power Up Day posts. I dropped the beneficiaries, streamlined some things, and plan to do some promotional sorts of stuff to spread the word both here on Hive, and on other social media. Oh, and as of last month I've redone the blog graphic again, thanks to Canva.

What is HivePUD?

Hive Power Up Day happens on the first of every month. Those who are able to, take this time to power up some Hive, and/or cancel their power downs and pause trading/selling for the 24 hour span of the day.

How to get HiveBuzz badges

For details, check their post from last month, Feedback from the December 1st Hive Power Up Day as well as their Power Up Day Helper Badge post but essentially -

• Power up a minimum of 10 HIVE during the UTC time for the first of the month. Convert your local time to UTC or check the countdown timer on the Hive Buzz site (under the "Challenges" tab) to confirm it's during the first UTC time before you power up.

How to qualify for HivePUD prizes

• Your reputation must be above 39 and below 70.
• Your total Hive Power (before the 1st) must be more than 100 and less than 8000.
• You must power up at least 10 Hive on February 1st.
• You must write a post about your power up on February 1st (your local time) with the tag #HivePUD (International) or #HPUD (Spanish) as one of your first 5 tags (tagging only in the body of the post doesn't count).

  To be included in the winners list, you must meet all four requirements above. The order of the list (first place, second place, and so on) will be determined by the biggest PERCENTAGE of Hive powered up, not necessarily the most Hive powered up.
