Testing out new lenses
Today was a good day for me, I received the two new lenses II had ordered, Namely, the Tamron 17-28 F2.8 and the Tamron 28-75 F2.8 lenses, I have been reading reviews on them for a while and thought they would be good lenses for most of what I shoot is mostly city and seascapes, and particularly with the coming grey and white days of winter, and I had to get out for a little walk to try them out, these shots were taken in a quick walk around the neighborhood a little after receiving them while it was still fairly overcast, and I went for a second walk to do some more test shots with them in the afternoon when the sun made a brief appearance, all be it very brief, I had barely walked for a few minutes when it clouded over again but I walked for about an hour and gave the lenses a good test and first impressions are I made a good choice getting them, I really like them both so far.
One plus for me along with the F2.8 throughout the range from 17-75, is that they both use the same filter size which will work well with my Haidi filter set, which I may or not use much between now and Next spring if it stays as cool or cooler than it is at the moment. The shots for this post were all taken on my first walk around the neighborhood since I haven't had time to edit any of the shots from the afternoon walk, and I should say these shots are not that great but I am happy with them since it was fairly grey when I got these shots, and they were just quick test shots and should not reflect badly on the new lenses, but badly on me and the conditions lOL
This first shot was with the 28-75 Lens and is my favorite of the test shots

And another one with the 28-75, The flowers are fading away a bit withthe cold but still some beauty to them, at least to my eyes :) I do like that these lenses do allow you to get fairly close ot the subject for shot slike these

As I said I am pretty happy with these lenses, and they will be the ones I carry most often into the city for the near future, they will be handy when I visit some of the Museums over the coming months as is my plan
