Wummernder Bass empfängt den Besucher im Foyer des Wien Museums. Die ehemaligen Ausstellungshallen des Museums sind nicht wiederzuerkennen. Es gibt nahezu keine Wand, die frei von Graffiti oder Street Art ist. Seit Anfang Juli verwandelt das Projekt Take Over das Museum am Karlsplatz in einen Urban Art Dschungel inklusive Indoor-Skatepark.
Booming bass welcome the visitor in the entrance hall of the Wien Museum. The former exhibition halls of the museum are not recognizable any more. There is almost no wall that is free of graffiti or street art. Since the beginning of July, the "Take Over" project has been transforming the Museum at Karlsplatz into an urban art jungle including an indoor skate park.

Bevor im Herbst die Vorarbeiten für den Um- und Ausbau beginnen, werden 2.000 m2 zur Spielwiese für Street Art und Skateboarding. Zwei Subkulturen, die zum Teil immer noch polarisieren und im öffentlichen Raum als aufdringlich und störend wahrgenommen werden.
Before the preliminary work for the conversion and expansion begins in autumn, 2,000 square meters will become a playground for street art and skateboarding. Two subcultures, some of which still polarize and are perceived as intrusive and disturbing in public spaces.
Im Erdgeschoss wurde für den Indoor-Skatepark der Fußboden speziell präpariert. Ausrangierte Museumsarchitektur bildet die Basis für die Hindernisse. Auch die Jüngsten können hier in Kursen lernen, sich sicher auf dem Board zu bewegen.
On the ground floor the floor was specially prepared for the indoor skate park. The basis for the obstacles is discarded museum architecture. Also the youngest can learn to move safely on the board in courses here.
Das Atrium dient als Bühne für Veranstaltungen und hat sich zu einem beliebten Treffpunkt für Besucher auch außerhalb der Szene entwickelt.
The atrium serves as a stage for events and has become a popular meeting place for visitors also outside the scene.
Im Erdgeschoss haben Besucher in der DIY-Area unzählige "tags" auf den Wänden und der Verkleidung denkmalgeschützter Bereiche im Museum hinterlassen.
On the ground floor, visitors in the DIY area have left countless "tags" on the walls and cladding of protected areas in the museum.

Die "Hall of Fame" im ersten Stock ist ein kuratierter Bereich, der den mehr als 30 Graffiti- und Street Art-Künstlern vorbehalten ist, die in den letzten 25 Jahren das Wiener Stadtbild mitgeprägt haben.
The "Hall of Fame" on the first floor is a curated area that reserved for the more than 30 graffiti and street artists, who have helped shape the cityscape of Vienna over the past 25 years.

Gemeinsam mit Nychos hat sie einen Teil der Fassade des Wien Museums gestaltet.
Together with Nychos, she designed part of the facade of the Wien Museum.
Vor dem Museum befindet sich bis zum Ende des Take Over- Projektes eine Wienerwand, auf der man seine künstlerischen Spuren hinterlassen kann. Es muss allerdings damit gerechnet werden, dass das eigene Kunstwerk jederzeit wieder übermalt oder übersprayt wird.
Until the end of the Take Over-project, there is a so called Wienerwand (Viennese wall) in front of the museum on which one can leave one's artistic traces. However, one must expect with the fact that one's own artwork will be painted over or sprayed over at any time.
