Noted for her distinct voice, three-octave vocal range, and eccentric public persona, she has developed an eclectic musical style over a career spanning five decades, drawing on electronica, pop, dance, trip hop, jazz, and avant-garde music. She is regarded as one of the most influential musicians of her era.

Quick takes on Björk
If anyone wanted to check out Bjork and didn't know where to start, I'd recommend Vespertine. It was her 3rd album and her first time getting ultra experimental but it's all still very listenable to the uninitiated. It's also her only album where I skip 0 songs, though her first 4 are all very very good
As far as I'm concerned Bjork is one of the most important artists to have ever lived. Same level as the Beatles or Mozart or Michael Jackson, although I think she isn't nearly as recognized. She is the most prolific artist to bring experimentation to pop music. She cracked open a hole in my little bubble and helped me learn to appreciate all kinds of music. This song and album is a great starting point.
