Finsterforst is a German folk metal band from Schwarzwald, Baden-Württemberg, whose lyrical themes deal with nature, German myths, and fantasy worlds. Finsterforst means "dark forest" and it is a reference to "Schwarzwald", a wooded mountain range in the band's home state.
