✴️ CALIBRA: FACEBOOK'S NEW DIGITAL WALLET FOR THE CRYPTOCURRENCY LIBRA. 💩 💩 💩

Just a few hours ago, Facebook released more information on their long waited cryptocurrency project called Libra.

So what is Calibra? It basically the wallet for the Libra Coin that will launch sometime in 2020. 📆

Their main focus is to bank the "unbanked" around the world. This looks to me this was just another hyped project and I don't even consider this a game changer at all.

IT'S PLAIN GARBAGE! 💩 💩 💩

It seems to me it's just another centralized banking option like Paypal. In other words, why the hell would people use this? 🤷‍♂️ 🤦

Yes, you will have to do a KYC and they will charge fees if you want to send "Libra" to individuals. WTF! 🤔 🤣

However, I can see millions of people using the Libra coin when they do come out. Many people won't know any better.

So what are your thoughts? Are you going to use the Libra Coin and the Calibra Wallet? All I know is that I'm not even going to touch this trash at all.

I honestly didn't expect much out of the project. Facebook has been under the spotlight from the government FTC and SEC for the last two years and watching them like a hawk. They last thing they would want to to create even more friction which mean LIBRA was going to have to be by the books.

They say it's not a stable coin yet they say its pegged to various FIAT currencies soooo then it is lol

I haven't yet dug into it all that much yet for the whitepaper but is it not launched yet? and it wont be till 2020 now ?

This looks useless to me too. Why charge a fee for transactions when everything is use within the same community. That's one of the reasons i love steemit, no matter the amount of steem or sbd to be sent it is all done for free.

I would have to agree on you view of the coin, but there is a lot of room for it to do well. Because Facebook has so many users there is a chance many will buy into it and the coin will have a high bum initially. Thanks for sharing!

The thing is Facebook has how many people using it . They will earn it without thinking about it or Changing their daily habits. But on the good side it is a crypto currency and it will help the larger community to embrace crypto. I see great times ahead for steem! Thanks for sharing, Have an awesome day!

I think you might be right. The "decentralized" blockchain will be governed by the Libra Association. And the founding members of this association will be large corporations for the most part. It's very suspicious. I wrote my own views about this in a separate post.

The question is why should i use libra coin while others can easily use free and no charge applicable at alt coin transaction. If there is secured with othet then happy with it, we don't want to be filled some one's pocket!
