Newbie from NZ..powering up :)

Late last week i decided to join Steemit and brought 1500Sp as a start, Last night i brought another 100SP. Screenshot (208).png I live in Taranaki New Zealand and have been watching steem over the past 6 odd months reading articles on & off the Blockchain, last week i thought i want to be part of this hence my decision to get an account and put some SP on it.

I might buy myself another 100 tonight, i quite enjoy looking at what others post and being able to comment and add some value to their posts/comments!

Looking forward to seeing how we go, i cannot believe the price of steem at the moment :)

    Welcome! And good on you being able to take advantage of these low prices! That's how I try to think of it, too - time to stack as much as possible when it's low. It's like depositing in a retirement fund to me. And people treat it just like the stock market, too - freaking out when it dips when they're not going to retire for another 30 years. XD But I have more faith in crypto than in the stock market, myself!

    Another tip that we share with everyone is to cite if images, videos, etc. used in their posts are of their own creation. This practice has two benefits:

    • It gives you an opportunity to have it clearly labeled that the works portrayed are your original and rightful property.

    • It helps to protect against copyright infringement when using material that is not of your original creation. Content (for example - images from a website) that grants permission for reuse is acceptable for content creators to utilize within their posts provided there is appropriate attribution to the source.     Here are also some tools that I use and I hope you can find them useful too:

    1. Use Partiko App from your mobile phone to post to your blog, comment, and upvote content in SteemIt to earn points which you can use to boost your own content.
    2. If you’re into games, you may wanna try playing Steem Monsters, a blockchain game based on Steem. If lets you compete with other players around the world with creature cards which you can sell and/or convert to crypto.
    3. Get rewarded for staying fit and healthy with ActiFit - a Steem-based app which rewards you with tokens (which you can eventually use to boost your content) for being physically active.
