The Oura app recently reminded me that I've been wearing my Oura Ring for two years. Time flies!

Back then, I had been pushing myself a little too hard. The skin on my left eyelid became irritated, which made me realize I needed to take better care of myself. I tried several things, including organic skincare, a medical cream for sensitive skin, and even changing my mindset through gratitude. Buying an Oura Ring was one of those changes.

My life change kit back then

It wasn't cheap, especially compared with a smartwatch. But I wear a vintage Rolex that was passed down from my grandfather to my mother, and then to me. I never wanted to replace it with a smartwatch. A friend recommended the Oura Ring, so I decided to give it a try.

The biggest benefit over the past two years has been having an objective perspective through data.

Sometimes I thought I hadn't slept well, but the data said otherwise. Other times I felt great, yet my sleep quality wasn't as good as I expected. I trust my own body feeling, but checking the data each morning helps me make small adjustments, like taking it easy or going to bed earlier.

I also like the activity tracking. Before, I only looked at my iPhone's step count, but I don't always carry my phone, and it couldn't capture activities like cycling or yoga. Since I wear the ring almost all the time, it gives me a much better picture of my daily activity.

As a woman, I also appreciate the automatic cycle and temperature tracking. It helps me prepare for my period, adjust my schedule, and be kinder to myself. I know I would never measure my basal body temperature every morning, so I'm grateful that it all happens automatically 👏

You may wonder its durability. I do woodworking, cooking, and gardening, so my hands are always busy. After two years, the ring only has some tiny scratches and still works perfectly and looks fine. I chose the black version because it matches everything, and I'd probably choose black again.

Health habits only work when they're easy to maintain. All I have to do is wear the ring, and every morning I get a small, objective reminder of how my body is doing. I think that's why I've happily worn it for the past two years.

This is a new type of ring for me your Oura ring and this is very nice to wear while making heavy works.

Your text beautifully illustrates how technology can help people better understand their health and daily lives I especially like how you highlight the balance between your personal feelings and the data provided by the Oura ring. It’s also impressive that the device still works so well after two years of continuous use. After all the best health habits are the ones that are easy to maintain, and it seems that the Oura ring fulfills this role perfectly

It's good to get some feedback about your experience. I'm just wondering, though, about those days when you feel good and that you've slept well but Oura says otherwise. Is this helpful?

Nice. With that kind of work, I can say why it's expensive. I want that too. Haha
