Happy new month everyone. This year's edition of the FIFA World Cup is full of drama, twists and turns. We have seen several dramatic but painful outcomes. The first was the game between The Netherlands vs Morocco where the Moroccan team scored late in the match - dying minutes of the game to take it to extra time and finally won on penalties. That broke the hearts of the Dutch team and their supporters, having led for the greeter part of the game.
The latest of such drama was the game between Senegal vs Belgium. The Senegalese were leading by (2-0) up to the 85th minute of the game only to concede two goals in quick succession (within the last five minutes) to take the game to extra time wherein the Belgians scored the winning goal to end the game by (3-2). It was quite unbelievable and a painful outcome for the Senegalese and their fans.
As we progress in the tournament, we will definitely be thrilled with other of such outcomes.
Kudos to all the teams that have made it to the round of 16 including co-hosts the USA who won over Ecuador by (2-0).
