Seeking out early bootlace orchids - close : July 22 2026 — @carrinm

Thought it was a good time to take a day off. Caught a train up two stations to see if there were any lady fingers orchids. Friends have seen them up the coast

Chiloglottis leaves - do not recall seeing these here

A few more. Wrinkled edges to leaves are different

Did find one bootlace orchid growing tall. Last season there were 3 plants on the same tree

Budding form - 3 metres above the ground

Steps up. One of the remnant Sydney High Blue Gum Forest segments. Just up on the right were some nodding greenhoods. Not seen them here before. I checked

Was a bigger walk than I had in mind after a big pickleball session. Did choose to loop back to Turramurra where I got off the train. Fewer steps that way.
