Thought it was a good time to take a day off. Caught a train up two stations to see if there were any lady fingers orchids. Friends have seen them up the coast

Context photo - past the oldest scout troop in Sydney - over 100 years

Pixie caps orchids - last days

Front on - acianthus fornicatus

Hypericum - large in yellow

Silver top mushroom

Silver tip shaping out

Hibbertia - maybe

A bit more of a mushroom day - red

Chiloglottis leaves - do not recall seeing these here

A few more. Wrinkled edges to leaves are different

Mushrooms and orchid leaves

One more pixie caps orchid

White edged mushroom

Promise of a greenhood

Did find one bootlace orchid growing tall. Last season there were 3 plants on the same tree

Budding form - 3 metres above the ground

Steps up. One of the remnant Sydney High Blue Gum Forest segments. Just up on the right were some nodding greenhoods. Not seen them here before. I checked

Nodding greenhood - pterostylis nutans

A different angle on a different plant - great labellum shot

A little mushroom action

Silver top mushroom

Violet pea flower - the only one seen

Sidewalk oxalis for a change to suburb flowers.

Two magnolia shots of old style Pymble houses. This one for sale

A quite different style - maybe Edwardian - with turrets
Was a bigger walk than I had in mind after a big pickleball session. Did choose to loop back to Turramurra where I got off the train. Fewer steps that way.
Did cook dinner. Turned day before bolognese into cottage pie
