Hi everyone in this community! I’m back again to share another lovely story with you all! I’ve been a little quiet and away from the community for quite some time, but now I’m happy to be back and ready to share some of our memorable moments with you.
This time, I’d love to take you along on a very special celebration with our family. It was a beautiful day filled with love, laughter, good food, and wonderful memories that we will surely cherish.
So, let me share a little glimpse of this special family celebration with you!
This was just a very intimate celebration because it was literally just our little family. We wanted to keep things simple and spend the day together, enjoying each other’s company and celebrating this special occasion.
My husband had already filed a leave from work for his birthday, and looking back, it was really such a good idea! It gave him the chance to take a break from work and enjoy his special day without having to worry about his usual busy schedule.
We prepared a simple little birthday surprise for him. I bought a gift for him online, while his mom baked a beautiful cake especially for his birthday. It may have been a simple celebration, but it was filled with so much love and thoughtfulness.
One thing that really amazed me after living here in Germany is how people can simply bake their own cakes at home. Since almost everything can be quite expensive, you really learn to be creative and make things yourself. His mom baking the cake made the celebration even more special because it was homemade with love.
For me, it’s not always about how big or fancy the celebration is. Sometimes, a homemade cake, a thoughtful gift, and being surrounded by family are more than enough to make a birthday truly memorable.
Suddenly, Oma, his grandma, arrived too! And once everyone was finally there and all the food was prepared and ready to be served, we all gathered together on the balcony. It was such a lovely feeling having the whole family together.
Once everyone was seated, his mom and I secretly prepared the birthday cake with the candles. I also prepared a little “Happy Birthday” music to make the surprise even more special.
Then we brought out the cake, and everyone joined in to sing “Happy Birthday” in English! It was such a sweet and memorable moment. Seeing everyone together, singing and celebrating him, made the simple birthday surprise feel truly special.
Everyone had such big smiles on their faces! It was really heartwarming to see everyone enjoying the moment and celebrating together.
After the birthday surprise, we shared the delicious cake and had some coffee together. It was such a simple but lovely way to spend time with the family. We chatted, laughed, and enjoyed every little moment.
After that, it was time to give him our gifts! We were all happy to see him open them and enjoy the little surprises we had prepared for him.
This celebration was also very special for me because it was my first time celebrating his birthday together with him and with his family. It made the occasion even more meaningful and memorable for me.
It wasn’t a big or fancy celebration, but having everyone together, sharing cake and coffee, exchanging gifts, and seeing all those happy smiles made it a birthday I will always remember.
