Today I’m sharing a new decorative pendant inspired by the colors of my country’s flag, Venezuela, made using the quilling technique.

Para hoy les traigo un nuevo colgante decorativo inspirado en los colores de la bandera de mi país Venezuela, en la técnica de quilling.

Esperando que sea de su agrado, les dejo mi proceso creativo:

Comencemos:😃

• I started by taking a 3mm-wide yellow quilling strip. Using the needle, we wound the entire strip until we reached the end, removed it from the needle, loosened it slightly, and sealed it with extra-strong white glue to form an open circle. We’ll need two identical circles.

• Using the same method as before, make 4 open circles the same size as the yellow ones.

• Now make 2 red open circles, slightly larger than the ones you made earlier.

• Comencé tomando cinta para quilling de color amarillo de 3mm de ancho, con la aguja enrollamos toda la tira hasta llegar al final de la misma, sacamos de la aguja soltamos un poco y sellamos con pega blanca extra fuerte, para obtener un círculo abierto. Necesitaremos dos círculos iguales.

• Bajo los mismos parámetros anteriores, realizaremos 4 círculos abiertos del mismo tamaño que los amarillos.

• Ahora realizaremos 2 círculos abiertos de color rojo, un poco más grandes que los círculos que realicé con anterioridad.

• We’re going to shape all the circles into teardrops, then glue them together in pairs.

• I took a paper crimper and ran a 3mm-wide white ribbon through it, then used a quilling needle to form a loose circle with the ribbon.

• We’ll assemble our pendant by joining all the pieces with extra-strong white glue, just as you can see in the picture.

• To decorate it, I added rhinestones and half-pearls to certain parts of the pendant.

• Finally, I attached it to a thin black snakeskin-patterned cord that I had made earlier.

This is how I finished this decorative pendant, incorporating the colors of my Venezuelan flag using the quilling technique.

• Vamos a moldear todos los círculos en formas de gotas, luego pegaremos en grupos de dos.

• Tomé una corrugadora de papel por la cual pase una cinta blanca de 3mm de ancho, luego cin una aguja para quilling realicé con dicha cinta un círculo suelto.

• Armaremos nuestro dije, uniendo todas las piezas con pega blanca extra fuerte tal y como pueden ver en la imagen.

• Para decorar coloqué cristales y medias perlas de bisutería en algunos puntos del dije.

• Para finalizar coloqué en colgante de hilo piel de serpiente fino negro que ya había realizado con anterioridad.

De esta manera finalice este colgante decorativo en el cual incorpore los colores de mi bandera de Venezuela, en la técnica de técnica de quilling.
