Hello everyone!
Today is Sunday, and as usual, I started my day by going to church. But before I even got busy, I already had a little surprise waiting for me in our garden.
When I woke up and checked outside, I was surprised because there were so many mushrooms growing in the garden! My daughter shocks where it come from, So I explain about mushroom to her. It felt like they had a meeting during the night and decided to appear all at once.
After getting ready, I went to church. Sunday is not only about attending Mass for me. It is also a time to see friends, meet people in our community, and share food with my in-laws. After the church, I finally had some time to check our garden.
Of course, my first stop was my daughter’s rabbits. She really loves her rabbits, and I think this is where her curiosity about taking care of pets started. She likes looking at them, feeding them, and checking what they are doing.
Sometimes, we let the rabbits stay in our strawberry garden. And honestly, they are too cute! They look so happy hopping around the plants. Sometimes I am not sure if I am checking the strawberry plants or just watching the rabbits.
Today, someone is also interested in buying some of the rabbits. I checked them carefully because I want to make sure they are healthy. But while I was looking at them, I was already thinking, Oh no, what if my daughter gets sad when they are gone?
She might look for them later and wonder where her little pets went.
But I guess this is also part of learning. Taking care of animals is not only about having fun. It also teaches children love, responsibility, and even letting go.
After checking the rabbits, I went around the garden and checked our pechay and lettuce. I harvested some fresh lettuce leaves and made a simple salad. I brought it to church, and it also became our little snack after Mass.
I always tell my friends and people in our community, Try planting, even just pechay in your backyard! Sometimes I give seeds or seedlings, even strawberry seedlings, so they can start too. But honestly, until now, I don't know if any of the strawberries I shared survived! Maybe they discovered that strawberries are a little demanding. They need care, patience, and attention before they finally give you fruits.
So today, my simple Sunday was full of little things about mushrooms, rabbits, lettuce, strawberries, and a little worry about my daughter saying goodbye to her pets.
