Some places are better discovered without a plan. 🌿✨
After volunteering, my friend Koleen and I decided to take a little detour and somehow ended up at Ahon Cafe in Antipolo, Rizal just because we were craving for some coffee and matcha. It wasn’t really part of our plan for the day, we just thought, why not? And somehow, that spontaneous decision became one of the best memories I can think of.
It was around 10:30 in the morning when we arrived, so the place was still quiet with only a few people around. Most people come here at night to see Metro Manila covered in city lights, but I actually loved seeing it this way.
Greenery everywhere, cool morning air, and that peaceful overlooking view of the city. It felt like a little escape from the busy world below.
Of course, no cafe adventure is complete without food.
I ordered my favorite matcha since I still had to sleep after, along with their classic cheeseburger. Koleen had a Spanish latte with their chunky chicken and tuna sandwich.
Everything was really good and satisfying. A little pricey, but I guess we’re also paying for the view.
Came for the matcha/coffee and the view, stayed because this cute little resident. 10/10 would visit again for him 😻🐾
We spent the rest of the time just relaxing and talking about random stuff. Nothing fancy, just a peaceful morning with good food, good company, and a beautiful view.
Definitely a little adventure worth taking.
Took a snap enjoying the view while waiting for our food 🌿
