On Monday morning I was up at 6AM and worked on editing the 100+ photos taken the day before. I stopped at 7:00AM to start washing down furniture in the living room and washing and rinsing the floor.
My #2 intern arrived at 8AM and I had finished the living room and moved onto washing the table cloth in the dining room. She started washing the big bowls and canning kettles. I moved onto washing down the chairs and then washing and rinsing the floor.
Then I remembered we were supposed to pressure wash the cider press and move it into the sun to dry. So we headed out to do that. But the pressure washer was acting up again. I thought there might be debris in the carburetor.
We tried all kinds of things and it wouldn’t run properly. So we started getting it ready to put away. I went to turn the water off, and it was already off. Neither of us had turned it off… sigh… more hijinks from someone again….
The pressure washer ran well once it had water. Sigh…
Entry rug shaken out
Back inside, she continued to clean things and I got the cabinets and counters all wiped down. Then I washed the hall floor, the laundry room, and got the entry washed, and then I died. It was 11AM.
So she took over and got the hall, laundry room and entry rinsed and then washed and rinsed the kitchen floor before she went.
Vinegar fermenting in the dining room
After resting for an hour I came out and made some lunch and started putting things back where they belonged. By 2PM, I was in bed and asleep until after 4PM. I was awakened by the weedwacker.
My son finally got all the weedwacking done. If my brother can get the pressure washer to work properly, my son’s next job is pressure washing the house.
I spent the rest of the afternoon finishing the photo editing and not much else. I didn’t get to bed until 9PM.
On Tuesday I have 2 posts to get up, laundry to do, harvesting to do, and my helper friend comes at 10:30AM. Those all ought to finish me off.
