Hello dear friends of this community.
Recently I moved to China for educational reasons. I have been privilegy with a scholarship to study a master in Northeast Normal University, in Jilin Province, Changchun. Almost a month since the first time I saw the city and trust me, it has been days of experiences, learning and fun, meeting new friends, going to new places and spending time at school.
In our first day we went shopping. I was sorprised with how sheap things could be! Clothes, shoes, laundry articles, and everything you may need in a house yu can in the diferent stores around the city. People are friendly and always ready to help. It is really dificult to communicate, because we do not speak Chinese, we have to use translators all the time, but once the staff know what we need, they look for what you specifically asked and even sugest you better options.
We have gone for dinner to different places, but the ones that I have enjoyed the most have been the Italian restaurant and the Japanese restaurant. Food was delicious and its smel ws even better. I loved these experiences because they have pivate spaces and you can have fun, talk, take photos and even laugh out loud with your friends without disturbing others. Every time we go for dinner outside the school, we go in a group of more than five friends, so we need a big space only for us.
Another wonderful moment was taking the subway for the first time. It goes really fast! In my country we do not have this, so I was shocked when it started to move. It is funny because every time we take the subway, Chinese people look at us with curiosity and surprise. They take photos of us and sometimes they ask for photos with us and then try to speak with us. Some of them know English and that makes things better.
Going for a walk is also a good time. Changchun has beautiful views, buildings, gardens and porches. This city is full of flowers from different colors and shapes. They do not smell, they make places look even much better that they really are. Every morning we can see two persons with a truck waatering the street flowers and people in the different gardens doing the same. They really care about nature and that is admirable.
This university have two capuses; one is the main campus, well know as Renmin Campus and where the international students dorm is located and the other one is far away from this one. The other campus is Jingyue Campus, where I receive my lessons. We need to take the university bus to move between both,because in my case, I have my room in one and take lessons in the other one. Chinese language lessons and Chinese Panorama lessons are both in the main campus, near of the dorms.
All this experinces in less than a month! I'm so greatful and excited for being here! And the best part is that I am not alone; my friends Ely, Carlos A, Yasiel and Carlos F are with me too, and you know that great moments with great friends are always the best. We have learned one from the other and we have grown together like a family, because it will be a long time together and we have to support each other.

Hola queridos amigos de esta comunidad.
Recientemente me mudé a China por razones educativas. He sido privilegiada con una beca para estudiar una maestría en la Universidad Normal del Noreste, en la provincia de Jilin, Changchun. Casi un mes desde la primera vez que vi la ciudad y créanme, han sido días de experiencias, aprendizaje y diversión, conociendo nuevos amigos, visitando nuevos lugares y pasando tiempo en la escuela.
En nuestro primer día fuimos de compras. ¡Me sorprendió lo baratas que pueden ser las cosas! Ropa, zapatos, artículos de limpieza y todo lo que puedas necesitar en una casa lo puedes encontrar en las diferentes tiendas alrededor de la ciudad. Las personas son amables y siempre están dispuestas a ayudar. Es realmente difícil comunicarse, porque no hablamos chino, tenemos que usar traductores todo el tiempo, pero una vez que el personal sabe lo que necesitamos, buscan lo que pediste específicamente e incluso te sugieren mejores opciones.
Hemos ido a cenar a diferentes lugares, pero los que más he disfrutado han sido el restaurante italiano y el restaurante japonés. La comida estaba deliciosa y su olor era aún mejor. Me encantaron estas experiencias porque tienen espacios privados y puedes divertirte, hablar, tomar fotos e incluso reír a carcajadas con tus amigos sin molestar a los demás. Cada vez que salimos a cenar fuera de la escuela, vamos en un grupo de más de cinco amigos, así que necesitamos un espacio grande solo para nosotros.
Otro momento maravilloso fue tomar el metro por primera vez. ¡Va realmente rápido! En mi país no tenemos esto, así que me sorprendí cuando empezó a moverse. Es gracioso porque cada vez que tomamos el metro, los chinos nos miran con curiosidad y sorpresa. Nos toman fotos y a veces nos piden fotos con ellos y luego intentan hablar con nosotros. Algunos de ellos saben inglés y eso hace que las cosas sean mejores.
Salir a caminar también es un buen momento. Changchun tiene vistas hermosas, edificios, jardines y pórticos. Esta ciudad está llena de flores de diferentes colores y formas. No tienen olor, hacen que los lugares se vean mucho mejor de lo que realmente son. Cada mañana podemos ver a dos personas con un camión regando las flores de la calle y a personas en los diferentes jardines haciendo lo mismo. Realmente se preocupan por la naturaleza y eso es admirable.
Esta universidad tiene dos campus; uno es el campus principal, conocido como Campus Renmin y donde está ubicado el dormitorio de los estudiantes internacionales, y el otro está lejos de este. El otro campus es el Campus Jingyue, donde recibo mis clases. Necesitamos tomar el autobús de la universidad para movernos entre ambos, porque en mi caso, tengo mi habitación en uno y tomo clases en el otro. Las clases de idioma chino y las clases de Panorama Chino están ambas en el campus principal, cerca de los dormitorios.
¡Todas estas experiencias en menos de un mes! ¡Estoy tan agradecida y emocionada por estar aquí! Y la mejor parte es que no estoy sola; mis amigos Ely, Carlos A, Yasiel y Carlos F están conmigo también, y saben que los grandes momentos con grandes amigos siempre son los mejores. Hemos aprendido unos de otros y hemos crecido juntos como una familia, porque será mucho tiempo juntos y tenemos que apoyarnos mutuamente.
