Hoy les comparto fotos de 3 de mis gatos en su momento mas humilde 😄, se trata de la hora del baño, aunque bañé a los 4 solo a tres les pude tomar fotos porque la gata mayor, es decir, la mamita de los dos mas pequeños se me escapó cuando estaba sacándola su pelo y se fue al jardín a lamerse sola .
Today I’m sharing photos of 3 of my cats in their most humble moment 😄, it’s bath time, although I bathed all 4, I could only take photos of three because the oldest cat, that is, the mother of the two youngest, escaped when I was taking out her fur and went to the garden to lick herself.
Generalmente los baño una vez al mes o cuando amerite, por ejemplo si les llego a ver una pulga eso significa baño de inmediato porque uso un champú insecticida para gatos que afortunadamente los mantiene libres de pulgas, ayer también tocó darle pastillas desparasitarte a Mamita y a sus hijos Blacky y Rayitas, pues la última vez fue en marzo así que ya les tocaba, a Linda no porque a ella le puse una pipeta la última vez porque es imposible que se trague las medicinas orales 🫠
I usually bathe them once a month or when necessary. For example, if I see a flea, that means an immediate bath because I use an insecticidal shampoo for cats that thankfully keeps them flea-free. Yesterday, I also gave Mamita and her kittens Blacky and Rayitas their deworming pills, since the last time was in March, so it was time. I didn’t give Linda any because I used a spot-on treatment on her last time, as it’s impossible for her to swallow oral medication.
Algo que ocurrió en esta ocasión y me tiene preocupada es que Blacky vomitó exactamente 4 horas después de haber ingerido la pastillas antiparasitaria, en su vomito pude encontrar lombrices, esto me alarmó mucho y pedí consejo a mis amigas que tienen gatos y ellas me dijeron que ese era tiempo suficiente para que se haya absorbido la pastilla y que no volviera a darle porque se podría generar una sobredosis, entonces decidí confiar y esperaré al tiempo correspondiente para darle la dosis de refuerzo.
Something that happened this time that has me worried is that Blacky vomited exactly 4 hours after taking the antiparasitic pills. I found worms in his vomit, which alarmed me greatly. I asked my friends who have cats for advice, and they told me that was enough time for the pill to have been absorbed and that I shouldn’t give him another dose because it could cause an overdose. So I decided to trust them and wait the appropriate time to give him the booster dose.
Con respecto a su comportamiento al bañarse ellos son muy buenos, se dejan bañar tranquilamente, solo Rayitas se asusta un poco pero no escapa ni nada y se deja bañar, siempre he pensado que a los gatos que no se dejan bañar es porque no los acostumbraron desde pequeños, creo que he tenido surte también porque incluso los rescatados de la calle se dejan bañar sin problema.
Regarding their behavior when bathing, they are very good; they let themselves be bathed calmly. Only Rayitas gets a little scared, but she doesn’t run away or anything and lets herself be bathed. I’ve always thought that cats who don’t let themselves be bathed are because they weren’t used to it from a young age. I think I’ve been lucky too because even the ones rescued from the street let themselves be bathed without any problem.
