When it comes to my cup of coffee, I enjoy it warm and pure. Ever since I can remember, my first cup is always pure brewed coffee- no creamer or sugar.
For my second cup, I sometimes have caramel macchiato or an iced Spanish latte. It's my "just for fun" coffee. Ben and I had our early lunch at this coffee house before watching Spiderman in the cinema. This restaurant is famous for their drip coffee and a great Japanese cozy ambiance.
The creamer was too cute in proportion to the size of the coffee mug. But when I tasted the milk, I understood the rationale- because the creamer was too thick, enough to brighten the coffee.
We also had the Omu-rice tonkatsu with a side of mushroom and lettuce. Other than the huge size of the dish, nothing much was remarkable about this meal.
For dessert, we ordered another famous dish in their menu-the classic souffle pancake. The soft, jiggly texture elevated it's taste. One bite and we knew we got our money's worth.
Dinning in new restaurants is not always for the good food. Sometimes, people go to a new place merely for the experience, which is what this date is all about. We definitely had a great one.
