Sometimes Montalbán (Carabobo, Venezuela) simply seems unwilling to wake up. The fog clings to the town's streets, the dampness seems glued to the cracked pavement, and the silence—if you can call it that—is almost the only sound. The few people walking the streets barely manage a murmur of greeting. The dampness from the previous night's downpour clings to the walls and ceilings. Morning drags on, sometimes even seeming to stand still, time standing by... I suppose that I, walking around with my old camera in hand, am a bit of a disruptor in the streetscape of this town that seems to be shrinking without reverse. But the truth is, I need to be here, and I like it, to appreciate and observe how this cluster of streets seems to be irreversibly contracting...
Thank you very much for your visit and appreciation!
