Hello, my dear otaku friends! I hope you’re all doing great today. I’m continuing my exciting artistic journey illustrating the unforgettable characters from the iconic series Inuyasha. This time around, it’s the turn of a truly flirtatious, seductive, and handsome monk: the great Miroku—a character with a unique personality that we’ve all loved for ages. I have to admit, more than once I’ve found myself wishing I were the brave Sango—anything for the chance to be just a little closer to this charismatic character. However, then I remember how incredibly jealous my beloved Inuyasha can get, and the feeling passes quickly; I’m back to being Kagome, laughing it all off! Haha.
To bring this special design to life, I decided to experiment by combining the softness and delicacy of watercolors with the vibrant intensity and excellent coverage of tempera paints. I believe this beautiful blend of materials perfectly captured the mystical, playful essence of this beloved companion. I truly hope you love the final result of my illustration. ¡Hola, mis queridos amigos otakus! Espero que se encuentren muy bien hoy. Continúo con mi emocionante viaje artístico ilustrando a los inolvidables personajes de la emblemática serie Inuyasha. En esta bella oportunidad, ha llegado el turno de capturar a un monje verdaderamente coqueto, seductor y guapo: el gran Miroku, un personaje con una personalidad muy particular que a todos nos encanta desde siempre.Les confieso que, en más de una ocasión, me descubrí deseando ser la valiente Sango. Todo con tal de tener la linda oportunidad de estar un poquito más cerca de este carismático personaje. Sin embargo, luego recuerdo lo extremadamente celoso que puede llegar a ser mi amado Inuyasha, y rápidamente se me pasa; ¡vuelvo a convertirme en Kagome entre risas! Jaja.
Para darle vida a este diseño especial, decidí experimentar combinando la suavidad y delicadeza de las acuarelas con la vibrante intensidad y gran cobertura que ofrecen las témperas. Creo que esta hermosa mezcla de materiales logró capturar perfectamente la esencia mística y divertida de este querido aliado. I started by making the drawing with a graphite pencil, then added color using watercolors and tempera paints
Comencé haciendo el dibujo con un lápiz de grafito para luego darle color con las acuarelas y temperas
Then, using the markers, I outlined it part by part.
Luego, con los marcadores, lo fui delineando parte por parte.
Then I put my drawing together with my Miroku chibi figure because I thought it looked kawaii o3o.
