Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. Neither my wife nor I view our birthdays as special occasions, we feel just like normal days, so we don't place much importance on them. My birthday passed several months ago, but we didn't celebrate, have a special gift, or get a birthday cake. We just lived simply and shared a simple meal together. My wife’s birthday too. We just spent the day simply like we usually do. Since our granddaughter didn’t have school, we took her out and had a food and snacks together. After dropping off our autistic son at school, we headed into downtown and went to Lotus's because our granddaughter wanted to play at the indoor playground (soft play area for kids). It opens at 10:00 AM, so we sat eating dessert and playing on our phones to kill time.
At 10:00 AM, no other children were playing in the indoor playground (soft play area for kids). Although our granddaughter had to play alone, she still insisted on staying here.
Our granddaughter played in the indoor playground (soft play area for kids) until almost noon, so we had a simple lunch at the food court. Our granddaughter had spaghetti, while my wife and I enjoyed crispy noodles with pork in gravy. It was a simple meal for our birthday outing, but eating together made it a truly wonderful and happy moment.
In the afternoon, we did a simple grocery shopping trip at the supermarket to buy ingredients and snacks for cooking a dinner together at home in the evening. Just the usual simple dinner for us, not a special birthday meal.
After we finished shopping, our granddaughter wanted some ice cream, so we bought a single scoop of fruit-flavored ice cream. Even though it was just a small scoop, it was expensive.
Around 2:30 PM, we pick up our autistic son from school and we head home. Naturally, we have to watch over him very closely at home. This year, granddaughter is the only one who prepared a birthday gift for her grandmother. It’s a hair clip that she decorated herself with paper she drew and cut out, its value isn't measured by price, but by the heart.
