Have you already found your soulmate?~ A Neurologist's Log

I am once again activating my neurology log to talk to you about something that fascinates me and, as a person, has changed my life.
I have spent years studying the brain, its connections, its chemicals, its mysteries, but there was one concept that, when I fully understood it, made me rethink everything I knew about love, relationships, and myself.
I used to believe in the soulmate, I even grew up with that romantic idea that there was someone out there waiting for me, designed by the universe to complete me, and I confess that I clung to that belief for a long time. But neuroscience gave me a slap of reality.

Then I learned about mirror neurons, which are a type of neuron that activate both when we perform an action and when we observe someone else performing it. They are responsible for empathy, unconscious imitation, and for us feeling what the other person feels. They are the biological basis of human connection.
There is a phenomenon that fascinates me even more, and it is that when two people connect deeply, their brains literally begin to synchronize, to the point that brain waves, heart rate, and even breathing patterns align. This is not poetry, but neuroscience.

And here is what made me change my way of seeing love: that synchrony does not happen with a single predestined person, but can happen with several throughout our lives, because it is not destiny, but compatibility and frequency.
Definitely, the myth of the soulmate sells us a beautiful but dangerous idea: that we are incomplete. And as a neurologist, I tell you that this is not true, because our brain is a complete, self-sufficient, wonderfully complex organ, and it is not missing any piece. What it needs is connection, and that is very different.

Real connection is not finding someone to fill your voids, but someone who, from their own fullness, decides to synchronize with you and chooses to vibrate at the same frequency.
And the most important thing is that, like me, you understand that the most transformative love we can experience is the one we feel for ourselves, because when you know yourself, when you accept your own frequency, when you learn to be with yourself, relationships stop being a need and become a conscious choice.

Therefore, I invite you to do what I do: I no longer look for a soulmate, but rather I look for compatible minds and people who vibrate on my wavelength, because love is not about finding the perfect person, but about recognizing the one who resonates with you.
That, dear holos-lotus community, is real magic, the magic of neuroscience.
Until the next log!
