Esperando la cuarta copa del Mundo. ¿Por qué no?/⚽️/ Waiting for the fourth World Cup. Why not?

⚽️No ha sido fácil, dejar de estar mental y espiritualmente en mi país, junto a los míos, para darles apoyo, consuelo y agradecer a Dios por todos los que lograron sobrevivir. Agradecida con todo aquel que levantó una piedra para sumar acciones. Esto me detuvo la ilusión de hacer un verdadero post mundialista… El 24 de julio, día de San Juan Bautista, mi Venezuela volvió a recibir un gran embate de la naturaleza que nos dolió y duele a todos. A mi familia venezolana: mis condolencias y mi fuerte abrazo. Somos uno solo, y de todas las catástrofes hemos salido adelante. De esta también saldremos.

⚽️Hoy quise venir con otra energía. Estoy consciente de que la iniciativa culminaría el último día del mes pasado, pero ya tenía casi listo este post, para compartirlo con mi comunidad, @hiveargentina, con toda la ilusión, porque me apasiona compartir ideas y mi granito de arena.

⚽️Para apaciguar un poco el frío cruel de estos días en Argentina (ayer a -1 °C), con los autos congelados como si estuvieran en una heladera, me fui a Shopping Avellaneda a buscar un ratito de calor. Pero al salir de casa, pasé por una heladería cafetería, que queda relativamente cerca, para comprar un cafecito caminero. (Es decir, un café para ir tomándolo de camino al shopping) Para mi sorpresa, los chicos de la heladería, estaban ofreciendo a la venta, un pancho con el pan de color azul y con baño de ajonjolí blanco. Me llamó mucho la atención y decidimos comprar dos.

⚽️En realidad, es un “Pancho” con los colores de la albiceleste 🇦🇷💙🤍 con cheddar, panceta y el otro con queso mozzarella, riquísimo. Lo mordí primero para degustar, y me encantó, pero quise convertirlo en un perro caliente. Le agregué ketchup, mostaza y mayonesa y así pudo imitar el sabor de un perro caliente venezolano en 2 segundos 😂 Faltaría claro, la papita frita rallada, el repollo y la cebolla cruda, para darle un exquisito sabor a las madrugadas de perros en Caracas.

⚽️Al llegar al Shopping de Avellaneda, está la pantalla gigante, donde rinden tributo al momento mundialista y por supuesto para el equipo Argentino, colocando en los productos con los colores del equipo que son los de la bandera de La Argentina. Por ejemplo los Jugos de la franquicia japonesa, Oh¡tea, tenían un mensaje y los colores azul y blanco en sus vasos, en KFC el tubo de pollo fue decorado igualmente con detalles alusivos al mundial de fútbol, ​​y así, casi todos esos locales ofrecieron al público sus mejores arreglos basados ​​en la etapa que estamos viviendo, como lo es el Mundial de Fútbol.

⚽️Hay unas fotos que me llamaron la atención porque provienen del espacio y fueron publicadas en X, por la NASA. Se puede observar a los astronautas disfrutar de un juego y demostrar que aunque están en pleno trabajo , también tIenen un tiempo para distraerse. Y nada mejor que jugar fútbol en el espacio y dentro de la nave.

⚽️Con relación al fútbol y a mi gusto por este juego, se lo debo a mi bella madre. Ella me inculcó la pasión que ella sentía al ver, disfrutar y apostar por sus mejores equipos. Entre los que estaban Brasil, España y Argentina. Ella se preparaba para esos dos meses de juegos, al igual que lo hacía con el béisbol. En casa solo uno de mis hermanos jugaba fútbol, el mayor en su colegio Pío XII, y mi hermano menor, que jugaba béisbol y era el pitcher. Mamá hacía sus oficios para tener su espacio para ver los partidos. El mundial era sagrado desde que comenzaba, con la inauguración. En casa, se veía más que todo el mundial por mamá y yo como su hija mayor no dejé de copiar su gran pasión por este deporte, que desde esa época no teníamos representación, y cuando apareció la primera vinotinto, se prendía el fuego en casa, porque comenzamos a soñar con la representación de Venezuela en un eventual mundial. Así que me siento muy feliz de haber llegado a aprender sobre ese deporte, las jugadas, los penales que no me gustan nadita, cuando hay alguna falta etc. Todo gracias a ella.

⚽️Para el mundial del año 2006, casualmente acercándose la fecha, se daña mi televisión, cosa gravísima para mí, porque justo iba a comenzar el Mundial y no lo podría ver. Yo me quejaba tanto del mismo y se presentó el milagro ja, ja, ja en la oficina donde yo trabajaba, mis amados compañeros de trabajo, han hecho una vaca o colecta y me han comprado un televisor, de regalo de cumpleaños, para que no me perdiera este mundial desde su inicio. No podré contarles más detalles respecto al fútbol, porque voy a esperar a qué termine este mundial con chismes y todo. Porque como les conté, soy apasionada del mismo.

⚽️Por ahora sueño con que La albiceleste de Argentina, haga lo que tiene que hacer y lo que sabe hacer. Hasta hoy han estado dando lo mejor de sí. Espero que ahora que entró a cuartos de final, con ese hermoso partido que se disputó con el novel equipo de Costa de Marfil, siga con la buena racha para ir por la cuarta copa del mundo. ¿Por qué no?…

⚽️It hasn't been easy, being away mentally and spiritually from my country, from being with my loved ones, to offer them support and comfort, and to thank God for all those who survived. I am grateful to everyone who lifted a stone to contribute to the effort. This put a damper on my plans to write a proper World Cup post… On July 24th, the feast day of Saint John the Baptist, my Venezuela was once again struck by a devastating natural disaster that hurt us all, and continues to hurt us. To my Venezuelan family: my deepest condolences and a warm embrace. We are one, and we have overcome every catastrophe. We will overcome this one too.

Today I wanted to come with a different energy. I'm aware that the initiative was supposed to end on the last day of last month, but I already had this post almost ready to share with my community, @hiveargentina, with great enthusiasm, because I'm passionate about sharing ideas and doing my part.

⚽️To escape the cruel cold of these days in Argentina (yesterday it was -1°C), with cars frozen solid as if they were in a refrigerator, I went to Shopping Avellaneda to find a little warmth. But on my way out of the house, I stopped by an ice cream shop/café, which is relatively close, to buy a "coffee on the go." (That is, a coffee to drink on my way to the mall.) To my surprise, the guys at the ice cream shop were selling hot dogs with blue buns and a white sesame seed coating. It caught my eye, and we decided to buy two.

⚽️Actually, it's a "Pancho" (a type of Venezuelan hot dog) in the colors of the Argentine national team 🇦🇷💙🤍, one with cheddar and bacon, and the other with mozzarella cheese—delicious! I took a bite first to taste it, and I loved it, but then I wanted to turn it into a hot dog. I added ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise, and it tasted just like a Venezuelan hot dog in two seconds 😂 Of course, it would still need shredded potato chips, cabbage, and raw onion to give it that exquisite flavor of those crazy early mornings in Caracas.

⚽️Upon arriving at the Avellaneda Shopping Center, you'll find a giant screen paying tribute to the World Cup and, of course, to the Argentine team. Products were decorated with the team's colors, which are also those of the Argentine flag. For example, the juices from the Japanese franchise Oh! Tea featured a message and the blue and white colors on their cups. At KFC, the chicken tube was similarly decorated with World Cup-themed details. And so, almost all the stores offered their best displays based on the current World Cup festivities.

⚽️There are some photos that caught my attention because they're from space and were published on X by NASA. They show astronauts enjoying a game, demonstrating that even though they're on the job, they also have time to relax. And what better way to do that than playing soccer in space, inside the spacecraft?

⚽️Regarding soccer and my love for the game, I owe it all to my wonderful mother. She instilled in me the passion she felt watching, enjoying, and supporting her favorite teams, including Brazil, Spain, and Argentina. She would prepare for those two months of games just as she did for baseball. At home, only one of my brothers played soccer: my older brother at his school, Pío XII, and my younger brother, who played baseball and was the pitcher. Mom would do her chores to find time to watch the matches. The World Cup was sacred from the very beginning, with the opening ceremony. At home, we watched the World Cup mostly because of Mom, and as her eldest daughter, I inherited her great passion for the sport. Back then, we didn't have a team in Venezuela, and when the first Venezuelan national team, La Vinotinto, appeared, it was like a fire was ignited at home because we started dreaming of Venezuela representing itself in a future World Cup. So, I'm very happy to have learned about the sport, the plays, the penalty kicks (which I absolutely hate), and when there are fouls, etc. All thanks to her.

⚽️For the 2006 World Cup, just as the date was approaching, my television broke down, a huge problem for me because the World Cup was about to start and I wouldn't be able to watch it. I complained so much about it, and then a miracle happened! At the office where I worked, my beloved coworkers chipped in and bought me a new television as a birthday present so I wouldn't miss the World Cup from the very beginning. I can't tell you any more details about the football because I'm going to wait until the World Cup is over, with all the gossip and everything. Because, as I told you, I'm a huge football fan.

⚽️For now, I dream that Argentina's national team, La Albiceleste, will do what it has to do and what it knows how to do. Up until now, they've been giving their all. I hope that now that they've reached the quarterfinals, with that beautiful match against the up-and-coming Ivory Coast team, they'll continue their winning streak and go for their fourth World Cup title.
