It really feels like fall. The morning wasn’t actually that cold, but the steady wind was quite chilly, and the sky was a shade of gray on top of gray. At least it didn’t start raining until later, and even then, only a little. It was easy to think today that summer was over. I did the Schleusenland loop behind the castle park with interval-walking and let the sound of the water at the large shiplock weir clear my head while I breathed in a controlled manner. That’s when I saw this boot standing in the water on the bank. It’s a really unusual sight, because it’s not usually there. I’m curious to see if it’ll still be there the next time I pass by. In any case, it threw me off so much that I couldn’t focus on any other subjects, so here are some more photos from my trip to Kassel.

Es fühlt sich total nach Herbst an. Der Morgen war an sich nicht wirklich kalt, aber der andauernde Wind war schon recht kühl und der Himmel dazu grau in grau. Wenigstens hat es erst später und auch nur ein wenig geregnet. Man konnte heute leicht denken, dass es das war mit dem Sommer. Ich bin die Schleusenland-Runde hinter dem Schlosspark im Intervall-Walking gegangen und habe mir vom Wasser am großen Schleusenwehr den Kopf freirauschen lassen, während ich kontrolliert geatmet habe. Dabei habe ich diesen Stiefel am Ufer im Wasser stehen sehen. Super ungewöhnliches Motiv, denn normalerweise steht der da nicht. Bin gespannt, ob er das nächste Mal immer noch da steht, wenn ich wieder dort vorbeikomme. Der hat mich jedenfalls so verwirrt, dass ich keinen Kopf für andere Motive mehr hatte, und deshalb gibt‘s noch Bilder vom Ausflug aus Kassel.
