Querido Hiver!

Dear Hiver! I hope you are doing well and ready to enjoy art once again. Today, I’ll tell you about the group exhibition "Tribute to Guerrero," currently on display at the Guerrero Gallery in my city. The gallery is named in honor of the renowned caricaturist Roberto Hernández Guerrero, a native of this municipality.
Guerrero was considered one of the world's ten best caricaturists. Born in January 1938, he was skilled in both writing and painting, leaving behind a body of work characterized by simple lines and exquisite humor.
The current exhibition is a group show of caricatures in which various artists with diverse styles carry on Guerrero's caricature tradition. Below, I will show you images of the works and their creators.
This series of works, in which drawing predominates alongside color, was created by Daysi and Alex Lauzan.
This beautiful work by Ángel Silvestre Díaz Morales features magnificent line drawing.
The creator of these caricatures is René de la Nuez, one of Cuba's prominent caricature artists.
It was difficult to choose an angle to photograph these works without capturing the sun's reflection on the glass. They are interesting compositions, featuring a casual drawing style, created by Exequiel Sánchez Silva.
This work is a portrait of me created by the artist Marcos Castillo when we were fellow students at the Instituto Superior de Arte.
Another work by Daysi, relying on the strength of the lines and the drawing....
Finally, the exhibition concludes with another work by Alex Lauzan. This large drawing recreates the map of Bauta using the visual language of caricature...
More than just an exhibition space, the Guerrero Gallery serves as a driving force for local culture. When artist Exequiel Sánchez and a group of fellow artists decided to form the Grupo Gráfico Guerrero in 1993, they felt the need for a dedicated space for the visual arts in the municipality; that was when the Guerrero Gallery was created.
This cultural institution is a vibrant space that also hosts literary gatherings, activities for children and adults, music concerts, and other community-oriented events.
I wrote the text myself. The images were taken with my Moto G82 phone.
