Hello 👋😘 It’s great to be back here to share a lovely moment I spent this Sunday with my daughter, my grandchildren, and a mason who is a family friend. We went to clear a plot of land where my daughter will soon build her home; she bought it recently, and the mason is clearing away the undergrowth, so we went to check on the progress and help out with the cleanup.
On the land, there are banana plants, mango trees, and a mamón tree. The mamón tree is a beloved tree in Venezuela that bears fruit at this time of year; the fruit is small, and the pulp can be either sweet or tart. You have to be careful not to swallow the pit—you just suck on the fruit and spit the pit out. It’s delicious whether it’s tart or sweet, though I personally prefer the sweet pulp.
The children had fun; they helped out and even spotted a turtle 🐢🐢🐢 that visits the plot from time to time—it belongs to some neighbors.
It was a unique Sunday; it was very sunny, but there was also a cool breeze. By lunchtime, we were getting hungry, so we finished our work and headed home to prepare lunch. God willing, my daughter will soon build her house; she is gradually buying the materials to create a beautiful home where she will live with her husband and children.
Thanks for reading my story. Be good, and take care of animals—they are God's creatures and deserve plenty of love and protection. See you later, and many blessings 🙏🌞
