It’s crazy to make bad decisions, but it’s part of life. These past few days I’ve walked a lot looking for shoes, but I didn’t like any of them—neither the style nor, much less, the high price. After getting really tired, I decided to buy the best ones I’d seen; it was hard to find them, since, apparently, my feet have grown a size in the last two years—which is strange, since I’m about to turn fifty—but that’s how it is: I went from a size 38 to a 39.

Sometimes I like a style, but it doesn’t fit me well because I’m short, and with a bigger foot, I look like a little elf, so finding a shoe that I like, that fits me well, and that’s reasonably priced is quite an odyssey. After buying a pair I was happy with, it hurt to see prettier shoes at a better price somewhere else.

This time, luck wasn’t on my side, and I felt sad about my purchase—which I bought on credit and am still paying off—but hey, thank God I have new shoes for another three years of walking and writing Actifit reports.
