I hadn’t planned on leaving the house today, but I had to take a urine sample from my mum to the lab and find out about a rechargeable fan we want to buy; the power cuts are getting worse and worse: they started with three hours of rationing, then went up to four, then five, and now it’s seven hours, when it was supposed to be once every 24 hours, but that’s all lies from the Government; they’re making a mockery of the public, because if they cut the electricity for seven hours and, after ten hours of supply, cut it off again for another seven hours, if we do the maths that’s more than 14 hours a day. Anyway, not having electricity during the day is annoying and makes everyday activities difficult, but when they cut it off at night it’s dreadful: it affects the quality of our sleep; the heat and the insects undermine our quality of life, and we can’t carry on like this any longer because our health is deteriorating.
I apologise, as this post wasn’t meant to be a rant. Whilst looking for the latest fans, I realised that the prices are higher than I’d imagined and, in fact, I found a model I didn’t like that’s on sale for $120; I want a better one, with a battery life of 6 hours and a pre-order price of $95; I hope to save up the money before the 20th of this month to pay the 50 per cent deposit and give that fan to my mum as a present.
I also saw some pots and pans we needed; I liked a silver one, amongst other things. When I got home tired, I found Duke happy because a neighbour had given him a ball; that’s how my morning ended – a happy and productive day.
