Hello everyone in this community! Today I had planned to volunteer near where I live, but unexpectedly, one of my uncles arrived last night asking me to visit his partner's sewing workshop. This was something I had been thinking about for months, so I was waiting for the right moment to go and check out the machines and materials they have.

I slept relatively poorly last night, waking up repeatedly with varied dreams, so when the alarm went off, I felt like staying in bed. Even so, I got ready and waited for my uncle to call me. Once we left, we headed to the workshop. It was a long trip; we took about four cars to get there, haha, so I was grateful when we finally arrived. Before going into the workshop, we had lunch, and it was absolutely delicious. I like my own food, but it's great to eat delicious food prepared by others every now and then 😊

After lunch, I immediately went to the sewing workshop. There, I finally got to see the sewing machines, which were covered in dust from lack of use. I managed to get one of the straight stitch machines to sew after threading it correctly, but the other one wouldn't sew anything, haha. I didn't dare touch the overlock or coverstitch machines, since I've never used those types of machines. I gave the girl my advice, and the visit came to an end.

When I got home, I was feeling quite cheerful, as it had been a few years since I'd used a semi-industrial sewing machine. I felt so accomplished getting one working smoothly and doing a little sewing. Not to mention, the girl kindly gave me some scraps of fabric, so I'm eager to see what I can make with them in the coming days 😇

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad! El día de hoy tenía planeado asistir a realizar un voluntariado cerca de donde vivo, pero inesperadamente, uno de mis tíos llegó anoche pidiéndome que fuera a visitar el taller de costura de su pareja. Esto, era algo que me había planteado meses atrás, por lo que estaba esperando el momento para poder ir y verificar el tipo de máquinas y material existente.

Anoche dormí relativamente mal, pues me despertaba a cada rato con sueños variados, por lo que, al sonar la alarma me sentía con ganas de quedarme en cama. Aún así me alisté y esperé a que mi tío me avisase. Una vez que salimos, nos dirigimos al taller. Fue un viaje largo, tomamos alrededor de 4 vehículos para llegar jaja por lo que estaba agradecida cuando por fin llegamos. Antes de ingresar al taller, almorzamos y estaba completamente delicioso. Me gusta mi comida, pero de vez en cuando es genial comer comida deliciosa preparada por los demás 😊

Luego de comer, inmediatamente pasé al taller de costura, allí, pude "conocer" por fin las máquinas de coser, llenas de de polvo por falta de uso. Pude hacer coser una de las máquinas rectas, luego de enhebrarla correctamente, pero la otra, no quiso coser nada jaja no me atreví a tocar la máquina overlock ni la collaretera, ya que nunca he usado ese tipo de máquinas. Le di mis consejos a la chica y la visita llegó a su fin.

A la hora de retornar a casa, estaba bastante animada, ya que tenía algunos años sin usar una máquina semi industrial, así que me sentí realizada al hacer funcionar una sin problemas y coser un poco. Sin mencionar que la chica amablemente me regaló unos trozos de tela, así que estoy ansiosa por ver qué puedo hacer con ello en los próximos días 😇
