Well, my wife is away for a couple days with friends which means I'm free to do as I please. That is both a good thing and a bad thing.
I can't exactly be trusted not to binge watch anime and I found one I enjoyed and stayed up way too late watching.
But I still got up, walked the dog, got some steps, picked some free blackberries along the way, then froze them to eat later.
After that it was church time with my son. That was nice and we got to chat a bit also.
Then it was a bit of shopping to make the weeks sandwiches and parfaits. I figure get them all prepped in advance and then healthy options are the easy choice and they get eaten :)
Then again, my wife brought a big bunch of cookies before she left on her weekend and unfortunately those get eaten also :(
With the parfait they need granola and I just can't bring myself to pay extra for it :

If you look it says Superstore has it on sale for $5 with a limit of 2.
But I also happen to know that right on my way home there is another store which...

It is sold for less money, everyday with no limit on the quantity. Just shows you have to shop around.
Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately), I have this sitting in my cupboard.

My wife bought it because It was such a good deal then it sat in the cupboard for at least two years and probably more. Now the expiry date hadn't passed but I have had to look at the stupid can for years.
Today was the day that my younger son and I cooked together. He's too broke to eat out and I was relaxing with my wife away. However, when he was hungry I relented and said I would cook with him but not for him. He's 20 so he is old enough to actually cook something.
So, I also got to cook with my son and chat for a while as well. Overall a good evening especially since my younger son decided to take the dog for his evening walk which meant I didn't have to. Horray!
Although that did mean I only got about 6K steps instead of my regular 10+K Steps.
But I can live with that ;)
That's it until tomorrow.
Thanks for dropping by
