Greetings to the members of the #blackandwhite community. In this post, I would like to highlight the ironwork found in common areas across Havana—ranging from private homes to institutions serving various social purposes. The artistry involved in crafting these grilles is particularly remarkable, especially the ones enclosing apartment balconies—known locally as guarda vecinos ("neighbor guards")—due to their diverse shapes and sizes; some of these works of art date back to the early 20th century, making them over a hundred years old. It is always a pleasure to share these experiences with you. Oficial entry for the #monomad challenge hosted by @monochromes and @brumest.
