En una publicación anterior les compartí la elaboración de un conjunto en tela elástica azul marino con detalle blancos que estoy haciendo para mí nieto que está por nacer, primero hice el pantalón y franela; en esta segunda parte quiero compartirles el paso a paso de la elaboración de el gorro y los guantes que hacen juego con el conjunto, son realmente sencillos y fáciles de elaborar, solamente requieren la mínima cantidad de tela, es la primera vez que hago gorro y guante y me encantó el resultado, les muestro.

In a previous post, I shared with you the process of making a navy blue stretch fabric outfit with white accents that I’m making for my soon-to-be-born grandson. First, I made the pants and T-shirt; In this second part, I want to share a step-by-step guide to making the matching hat and mittens. They’re really simple and easy to make—they only require a minimal amount of fabric. This is the first time I’ve made a hat and mittens, and I loved the result. Let me show you.

PROCEDIMIENTO
**Lo primero es cortar las piezas; para ello, coloqué la tela por el lado reverso; allí coloqué un gorro y un guante como medida, corté una pieza para el gorro y dos piezas para los guantes; además corté unas tiras blancas que sería el detalle que llevarían ambas piezas.

PROCEDURE
**The first step is to cut out the pieces; to do this, I placed the fabric face down; I used a hat and a glove as templates, cut out one piece for the hat and two pieces for the gloves; I also cut out some white strips to serve as the decorative detail for both pieces.
Manteniendo la tela por el lado reverso, llevo a la máquina y con una costura recta se unen ambas partes tanto del gorro como de los guantes, se pasa un zigzag y se voltea por el lado derecho.
Holding the fabric with the wrong side facing up, I take it to the sewing machine and sew the two pieces of both the hat and the gloves together with a straight stitch; then I sew a zigzag stitch and turn it right side out.
Finalmente tomó los trozos de tela blanca y los colocó en el borde tanto del gorro como de los guantes, uniendo con costura recta y finalizando con un zigzag; esto se hace por el lado reverso y luego lo volteamos por el lado derecho.
Finally, she took the pieces of white fabric and attached them to the edges of both the hat and the gloves, sewing them in a straight stitch and finishing with a zigzag stitch; this is done on the wrong side, and then we turn it right side out.
Y, así quedaron listos los guantes y el gorro que hacen juego con el mono y la franela para formar un hermoso conjunto para mi nieto que está por nacer.
