Yesterday, talking with Daniel about the triple hamburger (a never-ending topic), in one of the videos he makes about it, he mentions that he expects a woman to be delicate.
As soon as I heard that, I couldn't help but tell her that women don't have to be delicate, that we are simply human beings.
This made me think a little about it because I'm not really a delicate woman, I'm a little clumsy, like a lot, I use bad words from time to time. In short, I am an ordinary human being.
That's why I think sometimes men have false expectations about women. Largely industry-driven.

Really, women are not delicate
I am a woman and, as a woman who knows other women, I know that women are not delicate.
We are human beings, we eat, we laugh, we scream, we feel, we do anything we want to do.
And I think some men see women as delicate beings in the wrong way.
Actually, we are delicate because it is not good for our health to lift too much weight, for example.
But, when it comes to eating, we don't have to eat only lettuce and nuts just because we are women and, therefore, we must be “delicate.”

Many stereotypes are created about women's bodies
I have seen not so often (fortunately) men who have certain ideas about women's bodies.
An example of this is weight. For some, the ideal is for a woman to be shorter than them and thin.
Recently someone told me that he liked thin girls, like he used to be. But, over the years, I have gained a little weight, something that I am happy and grateful for.
For a long time I wanted to be the weight I currently have for various reasons...
- It makes me more physically resistant.
- I can donate blood.
- It's easier to find clothes in my size. Before, when I was very skinny, I could never find anything that fit me.
Being thin would be and was torture for me because, at the time when I needed it most, I couldn't donate blood; It was difficult for me to do physical activity.
Now, according to some men's stereotype, I am not attractive because I am not thin enough.
Which makes me wonder if they really want healthy, satisfied women, or if they just see us as a collector's toy to display in a display case.

So that's why we can say: Thank you very much, trash industry, for pigeonholing women
If you look carefully at all the productions in the industry, such as movies, series, music and everything you can think of, you will see a common factor: Women are all the same during a certain season.
Then we look at society and see something even more interesting: What the industry transmits is usually expected or copied.
These days we see the absurd trend that women should be extremely thin, just like Ariana Grande.
Now the elite follow the order to look skeletal, sick and weak. The aim is to normalize eating problems in a very “subtle” way.
And this is something that little by little we will begin to see in society, in those people you meet on the street, or in your co-workers.
Because although they say that what we consume “does not define us”, there is an important detail with it, and that is that what we consume enters our mind and we replicate it in our life. We do it with music, movies, series, videos and images on social networks.
There is always someone who feels identified and unconsciously copies what they see.
The industry knows this, so to sell it looks for a way to empathize with society. Which is seen a lot in the music industry.

Aha, but what does one thing have to do with the other?
It has a lot to do with the fact that men also copy models, they even completely buy into erroneous ideas, because we are all human, we are all manipulated in some way, even me.
Our opinions, ways of thinking and seeing life are subjective. Someone else influenced it, whether we like it or not.
So the industry gives a message, society receives and multiplies it.
In this way, ideas like “a woman must be delicate” enter our minds, when we are human beings, beings who can make mistakes, do things like everyone else or eat as much as a man.

We grow up with misconceptions about men and women
We think that women should be delicate and men should always be strong. All to condition behavior in a way that is not healthy.
And it is not healthy because with this we see people as objects, but not as beings that feel, suffer and think.
