Open Letter from Dapps to @justinsunsteemit

image.png

Dear Justin,

Being part of the back bone of STEEM and some of the biggest value creators, as well as accounting for much of the traffic in the Steem ecosystem, the Dapps have made huge contributions and maintained a neutral position in this political battle between yourself and the witnesses.

This morning, the Dapp teams, who have worked so hard for so long and who bring so much value to this blockchain woke to find that their delegations had been removed.

The delegations are used to bootstrap these Dapps and are an important lifeline to help them during their start-up phases.

See the list below to understand some of the changes in the delegations.

Dapps which delegation changed today:

  • @dtube : 2 Million SP to 200K SP
  • @oracle-d : 2 Million SP to 50K SP
  • @fundition : 1 Million SP to 100 SP
  • @steemhunt : 1 Million SP to 300K SP
  • @steempress-io : 1 Million SP to 10K SP

A Way Forwards

We would like to strongly request that Justin restore the delegations.
We would like to request a dialogue with Tron and Justin to discuss a way forwards.

We would like to help you clearly understand that it is in your benefit to delegate to the Dapps on Steem and that this action will help to generate consistent value on Steem as they have been doing until now.

Our main aim is to create the products of tomorrow while bringing value to this ecosystem, in that way we rely on the security of the chain and making sure it keeps operating as independently as possible going forwards ensuring that our Dapp operations are stable and secure.

A Delegation Committee

Steemit inc, in the past has expressed a desire to have a decentralised delegation process that helps to distribute delegations using input from the community. A Delegation Committee was being formed but never used until now. It has an independent, transparent process for assigning delegations to Steem projects. We would like to make Justin aware that this exists and will be of great use for him in the future.

Please see more about the Steem Delegation Committee and its most up to date delegation recommendations HERE

Please Kindly Explain

Would you kindly reach out to us, or explain in the comments why you have removed the delegations of these projects in the comments. We would like to catch up with you to discuss ways to help you manage delegations, what value the dapps create and ways forwards to restore the delegations for the Dapps that create value.

We Do Not Support Freezing of Funds

For the interest of the stability of the chain, our Dapps would like to confirm that we do not support freezing of any stake on this chain in the future.

We Invite Other Dapps to Join this Discussion

We would like to welcome other Dapps, to take part in the discussion about how to better manage delegations from the @misterdelegation account. Please let us know your interest in the comments below.

Anyway, it still demonstrates a single point of failure in DPoS networks facing trading platforms holding large amounts of tokens. It remains to be seen how the community will react.

Dear Communists, welcome to the real world!

You had your delegations for years and besides that fact, you were not able to create a sustainable product, nor growing community.

    You are pathetic losers.

Now, your delegations are removed to be given to someone who is not a loser.

Meritocracy hurts when you are dumb

Please, what would make you think, that after all what happened, that all these people involved have some interest in all this. The behavior of rich is always directed to the money value and the increase of it. Nothing human in all this, so rich folks mostly have no empathy or even the slightest understanding of something like that. This will end in the way the one with the most power wants it to happen... and since a lot of folks are involved, it just will take a little more time.

    please restore the delegations

Your begging is funny. Justin is the new owner of key access to huge amount of Steem Power. He does with this stake what he like. Do You know the term Your keys = Your money? If You want to build a community, do it with community members. Dont build it on somebody else money! During years of delegated SP above dApps gathered more than enough to be sustainable. For free. Many many other Steem projects couldnt even dream of this possibility.

  • @ocupation(71)· 2352d

He literally gives zero fuck about what you or anyone else wants. He is nothing else than a piece of shit that wants to migrate steem towards tron. Should have forked that bitch out before it was to late.

  • @cleanplanet(69)· 2352d

    @cleanplanet

CLEAN PLANET is the Well known Ecologic account on STEEM BLOCKCHAIN. CLEAN PLANET rewards all Steemians who take part of depollution on Earth an prove it.

CLEAN PLANET invents the Proof of Act

This Steem account is supported by many users beacause they know that this initiative is in The First Importance !

We may ask about a big Delegation by Delegation commity... we are expected to get it....

Do you think that rewarding good Eco-citizen actions picking up trash from Nature or city is good ? This marvellous system of This BLOCKCHAIN can be part to Save us and our only one PLANET...

Keep conscience about That DEAR JUSTIN.

Keep DELEGATIONS on STEEM to Dapps and discover CLEAN PLANET .... ON STEEM and on our WEBSITE here

DELEGATIONS ARE SO IMPORTANT FOR STEEM LIFE

    Here's to you @yann0975 (creator) @cleanplanet

That Justyy dapp must be amazing to have the largest delegation...

You're doing more harm to yourself presenting your underbelly to the dictator who isn't even reading. This wave of open letters is getting pretty cringy...

  • @svemirac(72)· 2352d

To be honest... these dapps had delegation for far too long. I see it as a startup bonus... Here have a delegation for 6 months prove us that you are doing something with vision, and gather your own audience. Simply because you have a dapp does not give you rights to have million steem delegations. If you are good enough you will find supporters and start build dapp and community around it even without delegation.

Fundition has misused funds for so long, no one addressed this and they have 0 users on their platform (state of the dapps metrics).

Steemhunt had interesting vision and project - never went deeply into it and apparently has the most users on them all. can't comment anything on that.

Steempress is a nice implementation but so far for being present for 1.5/2 years to only have 20-100 users in 24hours - does that require 1million delegation to go on?

There were numerous talks about dtube and their policy... the I don't care about steem and whatever happens, has been voiced by dtube few times. Why would you support them more? Yet they still have significant chunk of steem delegated.

3speak got their own 1mil... nothing to worry about that - was never delegated in the first place, not sure why it is listed there - might be developed by oracle-D but there there is SPS for development not a delegation...

And oracle-d has also been around for about 2 years - the most supported thing is a football school academy - which their last post was 5 months ago. And the promise of bringing whales and write posts for them... I don't know

  • @infosumon(25)· 2352d

    nice

  • @cjsdns(75)· 2352d

My thoughts and claims are like this.

1,Delegates from Steem Power should be provided to thrive on Steem's hard-working projects.

2,Teams wishing to carry out the project must be able to borrow 2 or 3 times the steem power in proportion to their steem power.

3,Steem power rental is not permitted for accounts with down vote. This is an act that undermines Steem's value.

4,You should not lend steam to a team that sells steam through power off and rental work. This team is not self-reliant.

5,The above account has been positively evaluated, so it's a good idea to rent again to Steem Power. However, I think it should be provided in proportion to your own spa.

He doesn't care about anything steem other than steemit.com and the stake he has. He just wants to assimilate as much of the userbase as possible and bring them to TRON. I had hope that he would open his eyes and see the destruction he's causing, but this one leaves me very pessimistic. The survival of our blockchain cannot rely on this company anymore, it will have to come from the community.

  • @oldtimer(76)· 2352d

    Trade delegation for witness vote?

  • @deniskj(67)· 2352d

Should have saved your energy...Justin will do what he wants to do regardless of what you say.

  • @argsolver(53)· 2352d

The SBA membership is made up of some of the most influential businesses already existing in the Steem ecosystem. These organisations form the core of the excellent networking and development partnerships of the Steem Business Alliance.

Well, maybe in a not so distant future, the whole SBA could migrate to a NEWSTEEM on a better protocol

  • @lowkeyoak(31)· 2352d

im rather new here and one must ask themselves =, is what your doing sustainable quantumly and two is fellow man the other quantum machine ?

  • @manniman(69)· 2352d

To increase his sock puppet voting powers? Guys, that is the obvious part.

Please Kindly Explain Would you kindly reach out to us, or explain in the comments why you have removed the delegations of these projects in the comments. @project7 STEEM Hunt was upvoting the @Triple.aaa witness yesterday. How foolish of you, but better late than sorry right? You should correct that maybe...?
