A love like no other

The love you get from a dog is a love like no other.

I posted previously regarding my loss of Teasel. I was in pieces after her death in June.

She was a rescue dog and we had adopted her just in time as, unknown to the staff at the dogs home, she had a ruptured polyp. Had we arrived just a day or two later to take her home she may not have survived.

As it was she lived for many happy years with us.

Now, some 5 months after her passing we have again come to the rescue of another abandoned dog, Percy.

He'd just been returned to the shelter after an unsuccessful 3 week adoption. He's incredibly underweight, but that will soon change.

I'm sure he will also enjoy the remainder of his life...which will hopefully be many years...with us and together we shall again share a love like me no other. One that is unconditional and unwavering.

As hard as it is to move on from the loss of a beloved pet, i think it is wonderful that you took on another rescue. As much as it pains me to even contemplate my floofter moving to the great beyond, i know that day will eventually come and I also plan to do the same thing.

I look forward to seeing Percy's advancement in life with you :)
