Donald Trump The Washington Post/Getty Images President Trump threatened to designate left-wing activist group Antifa as a terrorist organization in a Saturday tweet just hours before the start of opposing demonstrations in Portland, Oregon.

“Major consideration is being given to naming ANTIFA an ‘ORGANIZATION OF TERROR,’” Trump posted. “Portland is being watched very closely. Hopefully the Mayor will be able to properly do his job!”

Members of far-right groups, including the Proud Boys, plan to rally in Portland Saturday.

Masked members of the local Rose City Antifa, billed as “the nation’s oldest active anti-fascist group” and known for its use of violent tactics in street confrontations, say they will battle them.

    One simply has to type in Antifa Violence to see how violent they are. Anyone who votes "No" didn't do any research.

    Antifa in WW2 are communists and are for Global Socialism, Germany in WW2 Nazi Party was National Socialism. They both want the Socialism, which is the State controls you. The difference between Antifa and Nazis is that Antifa wants the entire globe to be controlled by socialism through force and death, Nazis wants only Germans to exist in the world through force and death

    Complicated question. I don't know this group well enough to express my opinion of them. If they are capable of violence towards civilians, of course they will pose a threat.
