The Engagement League

This league is not based around financial rewards and relates to engagement.

Everyone currently on my master list has a chance here - including those powering down or dealing in delegations over the past couple of weeks.

I've used some metrics relating to:

  • Posts (P)
  • Comments - number of (C)
  • Number of people spoken to (PS)
  • Comments - replies to replies - depth > 2 (C R)
  • Comments - length in characters (C L)
  • Witness votes (W) (for those proxying witness votes, your total is always 30)
  • Up-votes to others (V)
  • Up-votes to different authors (U V)
  • Self-votes - a small minus score for this one, sorry! (S V)

Note: Copy/Paste comments will be excluded!

Firstly, if you are placed in the table above then you among the top 15% of the league entrants!

  • 380 accounts earned a score this week (367 last time)
  • The top 100 produced 898 top level posts (965 last time)
  • The top 100 produced 11982 comments (13146 last time)
  • The top 100 produced over 2.34 million characters of text in comments (2.48 last time)
  • The top 100 cast 29937 votes (30744 last time), of these, 74 were self-votes (86 last time)

@tattoodjay is back at the top this week (up one place) with a massive 929 comments, 418 of those in the depths of a thread. Close behind in second is last weeks third, @akomoajong, with @glenalbrethsen, last weeks winner filling third spot. Last weeks three hold onto the top 3 places, albeit in a different order - another dominating week for the boys!

    Hey, @abh12345.

    Well, that was short lived. Last week started off in decent fashion, then quickly fell apart in the middle and while I tried to save it, in the end, I ran out of time. :)

    We'll see what this week brings. Motivation is a fickle thing, and I'm starting to feel it seep out again.

    Thank you, Asher for the time and effort it takes to complete this list, and I should say, find yourself in the upper reaches of it week in and week out. That's no small feat, either.

    Clearly... I'm not working hard enough!

    Bit of an "off" week here due (mostly) to this being "tax season" here in the US of A... our income tax filings are due tomorrow, and it's stunning how much bookkeeping is involved in tracking some crypto transactions here and there. I sincerely hope Coinbase or someone else soon gives Steem its own fiat gateway so we can get rid of having to track the whole multiple currencies from point A to point B thing.

    A week of numbers for me, thank you @bengy, for bringing us the number 33. I see the weeklies were a little week, and this no doubt was part of the reason I made it to 33, because other than talking to few more different people, my numbers were pretty much same as last week. The week of numbers continued into the other league as well for me, I made the list, number 86. the cool number though was 0.010101 for SP earned per vote. You might say number 33 got 86'ed fro byte-ing off more than he could chew. LoL.

    Nice to see everyone still out and about commenting, it may have been a bit slow, but still fun. We will all have to see if we can get the weeklies back on a northward trend, but I understand it is spring for most place north of the equator.

    Thank you for your effort to prepare the weekly CEL report @abh12345. I always enjoy reading through the results to get a quantitative view of how everyone is doing in their activity levels on the Steem blockchain.

    Have you ever considered an "all-time" post of some sort? Where you compared the "all-time" highest achievements in whatever way you choose to display it? For example, you could just leave what is shown as exactly the same. Except add the week to the left (or right). So ... We would see the "all time" highest ever weekly score for #1, #2, etc. You would have to decide what time range "all-time" would cover ...

    It was an interesting week for me as things are finally settling down at the office and I am getting more time to engage. However, I am feeling that I am still missing a part of time to really think about where I go from here as I feel I can do some more but need to use some time to consider it and next steps.

    Thanks for the continued effort here as it is a motivator for many of us!

    Jeez! I am seeing 43 posts in 7 days at the 20th position. Jeeez!!! 😆

    Thank you @abh12345 and I equally have a request.

    My time is up and I want to get serious with completing the final semester of my final year. Thus, I will be less or least active on as from Tuesday.

    I will like to opt out of the league because I cannot see myself making it to top 20 within this period. Let me keep my legacy by staying away and come back when I am finished. That would be in July.

I love that the top 5 made Many blogs per person as a contribution too. Steemit is for blogging thats the purpose here. The self vote rule can be changed more can benefit.

    Thanks for this Asher @abh12345. Congrats to JJ @tattoodjay and all the winners. I see I need to make my comments longer but happy to see I had no mysterious SP ( self votes) after taking your advice last time. By going into steemauto I was able to see the trails I was following and get them straightened out. I was following 3 trails and also upvoting on a regular basics. I deleted two of the trails ( one had 225 people on it) and my VP is finally going above 44 % and on it’s way to 100. 😊

And, for everyone participating and making Steem a fun place to be entertained. GOT i have never watched an episode but my son is sure stoked to watch the new shows coming out today. Hopefully it's super enjoyable for everyone checking it out. Man, i used to see my name pop up in the second league often before the last HF. But, ever since i have never made that league!
